Godzilla returns

So, just in case anyone missed the news Kong vs. Godzilla is out today. (or is it Godzilla vs Kong?) Anyway, I'm excited. I think Robert of The Pool Girl would feel my excitement times 10.

This will probably make it into chapter 41 as his excitement will make for a lot of teasing from the girls. I will keep it spoiler free though.

Life Is What Happens When ...

Despite my best of plans to get back to a chapter a week life has continued to throw curve balls at me, this time in the form of health of some family members. Despite that I do have chapter 40 almost ready for proofing though I need to give it another once over and although I know this is self serving - I'm pretty happy with where the story is sitting as we are more than half way through it.

Also, I sat down yesterday as I was trying to get back into the flow of writing and did something that has been in the back of my mind a while. I wrote the first draft of the epilogue for when all three major arcs are resolved.

Chapter 39 in the queue

I've posted chapter 39 so it will probably be on the site soon. I meant to get more done but allergies are sapping my strength. I've slept 10 hours some days and still been tired. I'm grateful for the nice weather but wish I could have it without the pollen. Sitting outside again with the laptop to write is so nice though, it is good for the soul.

This chapter is not a kind one for our protagonists and I found myself oddly hesitant to write it. I have grown fond of my imaginary characters and want them to be happy but sometimes hard things have to happen.

The Kosher Conundrum

Quite a few folks pointed out to me that the meal at the of chapter 37 wasn't even vaguely kosher. They are correct. Why was it that way? Because I screwed up. I was thinking more about what Lavi would probably be willing to eat than what a professional chef would fix. I have rewritten it. Don't worry, as Lavi's grandparents arrive I will be watching what is kosher way more. Though ... well, you'll find that out when we get there. Let's just say I've been looking forward to writing the grandmother way more than I have any right to.
