Just submitted chapter 5 of this story. I did not expect it to last this long. Still, the response was good and I will always continue to write new chapters to a story if it gets a good reception. Strangely, I had intended this story to be more of a Old West type genre but the scenario turned into an island of the Eastern coastline. The characters are outrageous but have a basis in reality. I am trying to cut down the number of unfinished stories in the Harry Lime account but will let this one go a little bit longer. Hope the readers find it interesting.

A favorite story of mine. I have neglected it too long. I recovered chapter 8 from the SOL records and will continue with chapter 9 in the next few days. If this sounds a little like "Heaven Knows, Mister Allison" you are probably almost as old as me. haha It has been decades since I read this book and seen this movie but it is vivid in my mind as I write this story. I could easily see this plot as a possible Hollywood remake starring some new faces for the nun and the Marine. I spend a little more time on the Japanese characters because of the cultural differences and the unavoidable misunderstandings of actions with a lack of perspective. I plan to end this story at 12 chapters. Any help in correcting my errors will be most appreciated.

Just added chapter 6 to this story. This story has evolved from the exploitive high school scenario into a more mature life on the streets plot that involves working for an oversexed and ruthless DA looking make a name for herself in local politics. We have drug deals and prostitutes and amorous informants mixing it up not to mention the dirty cops and politicians working their own angle. Don't ask me how it ends, I have absolutely no idea.

Strange title to a film noir story in the Mike Hammer tradition. Lam is slang for avoiding the authorities. I could have said, "Mike Takes a Powder" which means basically the same thing. I started this story at the very beginning of my writing career. I was writing three different "Mike" stories at that time. This story starts in a combat zone and moves to Los Angeles/Hollywood area with side trips up to Reno and Los Vegas. Those are all areas that I am familiar with having spent a big chunk of my life there. Of course, the PTSD afflicted Mike is back in the game as a Private Detective, although he likes to be called a "Confidential Investigator". The bad guys are a murky bunch of insiders that have cornered the call girl market and drug distribution business on the West Coast preying on innocent young girls with stars in their eyes. He gets involved with a Secretary (Velda type) with a young daughter (17 years old) in a three way slice of the dirty side of life with pleasure as their main goal in a world obsessed with sex. He is not in love with either of them but he will defend them with his life if necessary. Should be about 20 chapters total Now writing chapter 9. Sorry to leave it perking in my brain housing group so long but things happen.

This account which I limited to 500 stories is the central core of my 20 pen-names on this site. I am not really a professional writer. a decade ago I reached the 25 million download mark in the UK market. This Harry Lime account will hopefully pass the 3 million download this weekend. I thank those readers that have stuck by me with my personal problems of death in the family, serious illness and advancing years. I have always had an Erotic atmosphere in most of my stories with a few exceptions. I use different writing styles in my multi genre stories that include, Science-Fiction, Western, Asian, Crime, Historical, Romance, War, Taboo, Mystery, Para-normal, Political, Young Adult, Steam-Punk, and others that are mixed genre. Four of my favorite stories recently updated are GROUND ZERO, THE AMERICAN GIRL, LENNY'S ROOTS, AND THE ADVENTURES OF THE SICILIAN TWINS. I am happy with the response to Ground Zero and The American Girl, disappointed at the response to Lenny's Roots which is in chapter 10 of a 20 chapter story about New York Mafia transplanted to Las Vegas and Hollywood. The adventures of the Sicilian Twins is unusual but the plot is complicated. Thanks again for reader response.
