Harry Lime writing comments

I should mention upfront that Harry Lime is a pen-name of Robert Moran and that the entire porfolio consists of some 1200 stories under 17 varied pen-names. Since Febuary, I have been engaged in a project to update all unfinished stories for all 17 pen-names and have just completed phase one with about 70 stories updated including the 44 stories under the Tony Sorrentino pen-name. I am now entering phase two with 49 stories of all other pen-names excluding the 500 stories of Harry Lime which will be phase three with about 72 stories to be updated. The entire project will encompass the writing of almost 1,000 pages of content and I estimated would take 12 months to complete. I have curtailed all new stories with the exception of 2 stories added under the Tony Sorrentino pen-name. Of the 200 odd stories in this project, I estimate that about 45 need additional updating as they are multi-chapter stories to full conclusion. I will do my best to reduce that number in 2021. I am sort of an average writer with an assortment of good stories, average stories and bad stories. My main weaknesses are in lack of proper editing, run-on sentences, and too many cliches. However, I write in almost every genre and have even coined some new genres undefined. One story I would recommend is "Some People Would Say" under the Harry Lime pen-name. I wrote this story in 2012, my second year of writing and I concluded it after only 2 chapters because of lack of interest. At the time of writing I was heavily involved in a UK site where I had 20 million downloads of my erotically flavored short stories. I also had an American free site where my typical short stories would generation 10x the number of downloads on this site. Unfortunately, I closed that account due to the fact I felt that a lot of my content was being subjected to censorship of an unreasonable nature. This story that I concluded is typical of my style at the time and I am considering restarting it under the Harry Lime II pen-name which I had reserved to single chapter stories and will enter it under the same title only with stand alone chapters as they develop. I understand that a lot of readers are interested more in stoke stories but I think that if you read between the lines you will find this scenario quite interesting.

Harry Lime Update

This year of 2019 has not been a productive year for poor Harry. Too many instances of sticky reality disturbing his train of thought. Still he has added another Pen Name "Mickey Malone" to his stable of confused authors. Mickey writes in the "Mickey Spillane" style which he loved reading in his youth. The slow moving story called "Rigor Mortis" is drawn from scenes of New York City and many of the characters are similar to those close to him in real life. Just added a lengthy "Cast of Characters" in his blog and chapter 7 to the story. The length of this story will be about 36 chapters so we are still at the beginning of the story. Harry will begin to tackle the over 200 stories that need attention in his collection across 17 different Pen Names. His strategy is to conclude them when appropriate unless they need added content to conclude properly. Harry is in the twilight of his life-span which is astonishingly long and marred by many mistakes and sins too numerous to keep proper track of in this new 21st century.

The concluding chapter 24 will be submitted on Friday 25 Jan 19. Originally intended this to be a 12 chapter story but expanded it due to reader interest. I will do a follow-up edit to smooth out errs and conflicts. Thanks to all readers that have drawn my attention to mistakes.

Just submitted Chapter 21, Chapter 22 being edited. This story will end with 24 chapters and will be one of the longest adult westerns I have written. Sorry it took so long to complete but was in hospital for a lot of the period I was writing it.

Harry Lime and all associated pen-names update

Starting New Year of 2019 Harry and friends would like to thank all SOL readers for the total of 4.2 million downloads on his amateur writings. My New Years resolution is to catch up on all unfinished stories without making promises I can't keep. Some of my pen names are disorganized and I have to keep them all in line. I like the new Barnes and Noble self publishing Nook deal and their system seems easy to navigate. My first 2 books on there are "Belfast Rules" and "Young Adult Collection by Harry Lime" Anyone that wants any of my books, just send me your email and I will buy it on my account and send it to you as a "gift". If you are able to send a short review in it would help me out but no requirement to do so. If you read my stuff, you know I write in every genre imaginable, some better than others and better to skip my attempts at "Romance" haha
