Hello readers,
A newer, longer, edited, and even more refined version of These Three Kings should be live today.
I have been going over some old notes from a dear friend in Scotland. They were wonderfully irreplaceable in their feedback. As such, the story grew. I wanted to clear some stuff up while making sure that I kept the heart of the story. These things take like 2 months to write, and when I get the chance to clean them up, that's another month while I am working on other projects for here, doing a 9-5, working on other creative projects publicly, and so on. Eventually, it all catches up to me.
If only I had more than 24 hours in a day.
Like Shakespeare said, Brevity is soul or wit, and one of my favorite YouTubers called Goddamnit Malcolm used to say all the time "Brevity is the weapon of the sane." Well, you're both wrong. I enjoy putting words to page haha.
Anyway,
As for Author's Notes for These Three Kings, writing that story was a pain. It is helping set up the Greek Myth world as most of us know it. I am doing my best to stay true to the characters within while also preparing them for their destined. Furthermore, I really do want to try and stay true to some of the original sources as best I can until I decide to go beyond Greek Myth, but Ovid, the Republic, The Illiad, The Library, and the Theogony all contradict one another to some degree, so this was where some storytelling compromises had to be made. Thankfully, I think it all came together.
Oh and again, while I didn't take the poem at the end wholesale from James A. Owen and his Imaginarium Geographica series, I did enjoy the structure as I want to pay homage to modern writers and the work they do. You also might notice there is a new disclaimer. For the most part, that will be the structure for every 1st book in any of my mythology series going forward. I do not want to post a Disclaimer of that length each time because it feels like I am not trusting you (the reader) to know what you enjoy.
Thank you all, as always for the support, and I wish you all a Happy Holidays, and if you do not celebrate, I hope the New Year is good to you.
As Always,
C.S.
Wonderful Readers,
I want to thank everyone for reading The Time of Zeus Book 5: the Coup. In case you missed it, there is a connection between Heir to Wolcott Manor and Tale of Olympus.
I try to be subtle, but since this is a blog, and not every reader peruses this thing, I might as well give a hint hint and a wink wink here to nudge readers to notice.
With that, I am done posting for the rest of 2025, I want to thank every reader who gave my stories a chance when so many other talented authors are writing and posting on here. It means more than you can know that you all browse my stories.
I plan to take a few weeks off for the holidays, and I should be back at it in January. There is some real life stuff I need to take care of, but I am looking forward to getting to my Fallout story as well as the first story in The Era of Man, which is tentatively named The Gift of Fire. I should warn you though that my first story of 2026 might be another Miscellaneous Myth, but I cannot be sure.
As of right now, I am fried, and I plan to enjoy a few weeks off.
Happy Holidays for everyone who celebrates, and to those who do not, I wish you a great year ahead in 2026.
As Always,
C.S.
Hey Everyone,
As this week is Thanksgiving in the States, I know people will be busy for this holiday. While I know some find this to be touchy, I will be respectful of the day and push Chapter 24: When Thunder Hesitates for The Coup to the Friday morning of the 28th.
I hope everyone has a great week and Happy Holidays for those who celebrate in the next month or so.
Also, after The Coup ends, I will be taking a break until the New Year, so I can have a good holiday and plan ahead for 2026.
Thank you (as always) for your support and ratings. Here's to a good 2025 and an amazing 2026.
As always,
C.S.
I did a quick update for Heir of Wolcott. If you enjoyed the story, the edit and expansion might be something you enjoy. Thank you everyone.

P.S. My editor will give it a once over before next year. Have no fear
Endings are a bitch and a half for me. I want to keep going when the story is over, or I end up just stopping, so getting this to a nice end point was difficult to say the least.
I think I got there in the end. However, as you can see the story is not over, not by a long shot. We still have to deal with what is coming. We have the Horror under the house, very similar to the monsters under the bed that most children fear. There were the beings in the Prologue… and now, we have the infinite monster that was one of H.P. Lovercraft’s largest monsters: Yog Sothoth.
Who knows how all of this will turn out?
A lot of the facts in this story are true. A Wolcott and a Huntington signed the U.S.’s Declaration of Independence but obviously their families did not unleash hell in New England. Princess Sophia was a princess of Great Britain and did not have children as I understood her life. Obviously, the White House did burn down, and President Madison thought it was a great blow to our country, so I put on my conspiratorial cap and made up a fun reason for how funding was appropriated.
Beyond that, I thought why not take some of these real life facts and mess with them a little bit to make a compelling narrative.
From the scores, it says you guys liked it. IF you enjoyed this story, please give a rating and leave a comment. I should have a personally edited version of the story up by the end of the month, but I will be editing (with an editor friend of mine and one more rewrite by me) this story a lot before next year and will re-upload it before the sequel.
After which, I plan to have written and released the sequel: The Tragedy of Dreibruch (this is a working title and may change; sorry for that).
I think of some stories as just a book or serial. This one is closer to seasons of television, so this was more about establishing our heroes in Thomas and Silas. From the scores, it is clear that most of you guys like Thomas Wilson, which I am glad. He was a hard character to craft. My intention was to make someone with integrity without becoming a caricature. Silas was an interesting character as getting people to root for an aimless millionaire can be difficult.
Regardless of how things panned out, I am glad for all that enjoyed it, and I am sorry for those that did not.
Oh! And the Verbena is Vervaine, which I decided to co-opt from The Vampire Diaries. I could not help but pay homage to a franchise that did understand how to blend the magical with the vampiric.
As always, I genuinely want to thank you all for your support.
For more of my stories, give Tales of Olympus a chance if you enjoy mythological tellings.
If nothing else, here’s hoping to see you guys for the The Coup continuing next month or The Tragedy of Dreibuch or the Fallout FanFiction I said I might be posting sometime next year.
Thank you again; rate accordingly, and I look forward to the comments and to seeing everyone on the next story.
C.S.
