I found some free time recently and was in the zone, so got Ch 83 written and uploaded. It's the first really long chapter in quite a while. The original plan had this chapter coming after much less writing, but in the same time period in the Beth universe. Blame it on Heather... and Civia, neither of which I had an inkling of when I started down Beth's road. Hopefully, the long chapter will get you loyal readers through the up to two weeks starting shortly during which I will have zero writing time.

I'm in the locker room at halftime in the league championship final, so have made good progress on Ch. 82 despite work, again, chewing up a lot of my time. I cannot help but grudge the extra work, but I won't mind the resulting pay check. I'll probably get this chapter posted on or shortly after the weekend and might get Ch. 83 posted before next weekend. At least, that's my current plan. However, after that, a bunch of work travel will keep me away from Beth's universe for a week or ten days. It's funny. Prior to starting down Beth's path, I always loved all the time I spent traveling for work. In fact, it was one of the main attractions of my position. Then I got used to having little travel and, for nearly half a year, little in the way of OT on the job. I began begrudging the extensive OT and work travel once I started to write these stories. Them's the breaks.

Even many/most of the most-skilled writers here don't use pronouns correctly, and their mistakes get past numerous editors. I just don't get it. [See previous post: Me and Julio....]

I've gotten in quite a few hours today on getting Chapter 80 going and have made good progress with the Petaluma game. I hope to have the chapter written and edited before mid-week next week. May the stars align to make it so.

Sorry, all, for not keeping you apprised. Work has gotten hectic, but my most-recent work-related publication is the primary culprit in not uploading new chapters. I had to do a major re-write on a paper and it took much longer than it should have. It's submitted now, so once the work-work part of my life settles down -- in a few days? -- I'll be able to to get back to the Beth Universe.
