We have submitted the first few chapters of DreamWeaver to Lazeez for posting. If all goes to plan, the first three chapters will be posted tomorrow (3/22). Then you'll see one chapter a week for a few weeks and then daily releases until early May.
Sorry it took so long to get here. I wanted to make sure a well edited story is released.
I have to thank Writer Mick for contributing his talents in completing DreamWeaver and owning the final edits. Steve also contributed his editing talents to this release and Robin Pentecost did the final proof.
Enjoy the story.
I have asked Xalir's "estate" to send me his unpublished works. If you would like to help me edit them for publication, please let me know.
I too will miss his writing. His story's were dramatic and poignant.
Hi SOL readers.
If you have been waiting for the next chapter of New Beginning, it's getting close. I've spent the last ten days rewriting chapters 6 and 7 with the help of a couple of editors.
I also have a rough version of chapter 8. It needs refining. I hope to finish chapter 8 tomorrow and send to my editor(s) then. With a bit of luck, I will have the revised story (re-posting the first 7 chapters) plus chapter 8 up next Friday (Jan 18).
Have a good weekend.
I was the kind of kid who did the bare minimum in grade school. If a teacher called for an assignment of two to four pages, I wrote two and a quarter pages. I got to the point. It usually got me an A or a B. That was my way. All of my grades were a mix of A's and B's.
I went to school for engineering. Then spent twenty plus years working in finance. Neither of which called for a lot of writing.
Now I've published (or am about to) a story with over twenty nine thousand words. It will probably take another 40k plus words to finish it. And I have at least five more story ideas on paper. Two of them have a rough chapter already written.
I guess I'm saying, you never know how life is going to turn out.
I'm reviewing chapter 7 of New Beginning now. I'll send it out for proofing later today. Maybe I'll be able to publish on New Years. If not look for it on Jan 4.
Happy New Years.
I once had a boss tell me "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good." I've taken that philosophy to heart in writing New Beginning.
I posted the first three chapters without an editor. Then I got some feedback and fixed grammar and tweaked the story (added a couple of paragraphs). A few people offered to edit for me. That helped improve chapter 4.
My editors really helped with chapter five. The upside - I think chapter five is the best chapter yet. Unfortunately, It's taking longer to finalize.
I'm going to queue up chapter 5 for release tomorrow (12/15) morning. However, because I keep adding to it, it will probably have a few errors.
