First off, thank you to all the people who downloaded the first three chapters of "New Beginning" on the first day and voted. I really appreciate the people who commented or sent an e-mail. It gave me great encouragement to immediately start working on chapter 5.
What happened to chapter 4, you ask? Well, it's already done and in the review queue for Friday night (12/7). So, sit tight, it will post soon.
For people who wonder about the story codes. Bear with me a little longer. Roger's dating life really picks up in chapter 6. With a little luck, I'll finish chapter 5 within the next week. I think I have enough of chapters 6 through 8 in rough form that I can publish once a week for a few weeks.
Another good question would be, "why are chapters 6 to 8 nearly done when 5 is barely started?" When I first started the story it was about the recovery phase of Roger's life. I knew what tragedy had befallen him and that it would take two years to grieve. So, I started right-in on the post-grief dating story. Then I decided we needed more back-story on Roger. So I've spent the last few months writing those chapters.
Mandy surprised me. She wasn't originally in chapters 6 to 8. Next I'll need to figure out how her presence will influence things.
Sorry for rambling so long. I'll post an update next week.
