This latest posting is purely a sex romp to be read for the fun of it. My wife said that it was an ideal "summer read," not to be taken seriously, but just for pure entertainment. Here is the blurb:

This is the story of how my sister and I cooked up a way for us to make a lot of money while still in high school. I have written several stories which feature a vastly superior replicator. Actually, it is much more than simply a replicator, but I really don't know what to name it. It is a descendant of the basic replicator as seen on "Star Trek," but it has evolved into much more than that. The driving force behind the replicator is an AI that is seven billion years old. That AI can answer questions as well as supervise the replicator, but it cannot make suggestions. However, that restriction is stretched on occasion.

The first story posted in the series is "Paradise Found" and should be read first, because it has the backstory of the replicator. The second story is "Damyankee in the Wild West," and is only related to "Paradise Found" by the presence of the replicator. Other than that, it is a purely independent story.

The replicator has an unlimited energy source because it uses Dark Energy. The raw material is Dark Matter, and any item made by the replicator can be recycled back into Dark Matter when it is no longer needed.

Yes, this is very much like a magic ring or magic lantern story, so keep that in mind before you complain about it. I have started several more stories using this replicator, but I don't know when they will be finished. In any case, they will not be posted until they are finished.

Well, now that "Damn the Aristocracy" has reached its last chapter, I have had to make that decision of whether or not to continue posting stories. At least some of you will be happy to hear that I have decided to continue to post my stories on SOL.

I am happy with the score, 7.41 as I write this, of "Damn the Aristocracy," but I am disappointed at the number of downloads. Oh, well, on to the next story. This is a Western with a twist. I will start posting it on Tuesday, Aug. 15th. This time, the twist is that the protagonist has an advanced replicator, similar to what I have used before in a story. The title is "A Damyankee in the Wild West," and it has 11 chapters. This is the blurb:

This is an alternate reality. Jeff Culberson, a modern Massachusetts state trooper and his replicator, are somehow transported to west Texas of 1872 during the Indian War. He fights Comanches, weds his lady-love, spends some time as a town marshal and as a bounty hunter. He does a lot of good to make Texas a better place to live, including starting the first Normal school for women. 11 chapters.

Today will see the last chapter of "Hunting the Orlan." My 200th posting will be "Damn the Aristocracy," which should appear on June 13. As suggested by bdraft, this story is unusually long for me, 18 chapters. He thought that I should commemorate the occasion with a longer story.

It's an historical alternate reality story about the Civil War. It has 18 chapters, over 50,000 words. Here is the blurb:

"Join Jacob Stellinski of Georgia as he goes from free citizen to slave to greatness as the first president of Haven. Jacob is an accomplished gunsmith and inventor, as well as unintentional politician as he leads a secession of a section of Georgia, one of the Confederate States. Of course, Georgia does not want him to succeed in his rebellion, so there is a local war that taxes everybody's resources. There is too much war and too much sex as far as Jacob is concerned. 18 chapters."

I am not sure at this point, but this may be my last posting for a while, if ever. I am kind of burned out. I have several stories written which I may publish-I just don't know. I think it will depend on what kind of reaction I get from this story.

If "Damn the Aristocracy" should be my last posting, I will say thanks for the memories. I has been great fun, but I am just tired. Being 82 years old does that to a person.
