Chapter 17 of Best Summer Ever is posted. If you don't know what's coming after the last two chapters, I can't help you. Let's just say Gary gets a few life lessons and leave it at that.
Reader response continues getting better every day. Another 5,000-download day on Saturday and the score has rocketed back to it's previous high. I'm eager to see if we can keep it going.
This has been a productive week as far as writing is concerned. I'm now on Chapter 25 and things are really starting to pick up. The holiday weekend and following days see some significant developments. Enjoy!
Chapter 16 of Best Summer Ever has been posted, in which Gary finally gets to put some clothes on. Kacie has to work her way out of another situation with Mom, a new friend provides an assist and Gary proves he is indeed one lucky dog.
The response just keeps getting better as the story passed 50,000 downloads with this chapter. The last two days have been the best yet with roughly 10,000 downloads.
The story continues apace and there's a lot happening over the next few days as we finally get to the Memorial Day picnic. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some ribs.
Chapter 15 of Best Summer Ever has been posted. This has been one of my favorite parts of the story to write and I think really moves the story along. We finally get to see some of the other characters, including the introduction of a major one.
In sketching out this story, this was one of a handful of scenarios that just kind of created themselves. The last 13 chapters have just been spent getting from the beginning to here, but it's been a fun ride, don't you think?
I've been able to get a few chapters ahead, but real-life issues are looming. We'll find out if there are enough hours in a day pretty soon.
Chapter 14 of Best Summer Ever is posted. Gary and Jed do more work at the club and Gary finds a goal for which to strive. Kacie gets busted and Morgan finally makes another appearance, albeit in a limited role.
Things are setting up nicely for Memorial Day weekend at the club. The story should start picking up from there.
Just eyeballing the numbers, it looks like Wednesday was the busiest day yet for downloads with something around 4,200. If this little story keeps building momentum, we could really have something! Thanks again for all the support.
Chapter 13 of Best Summer ever has been posted. Nothing earth-shattering, but it still helps move the story along. Setup for the club picnic finally begins. Mom has suspicions, but aren't moms usually suspicious? Dad does dad things, Gary and Jed continue to work out, Kacie continues to spread her wings.
Things are starting to gain momentum. Once it gets into the weekend, more characters will appear and different situations will arise.
The story continues to perform well on the charts and the score has gained about a tenth of a point the last couple of days. I'll keep writing if you'll keep reading.
