Chapter 70 of Best Summer Ever has been posted. Gary's efforts to welcome Morgan back home meet with some resistance. Then Morgan meets with personal tragedy, further delaying their reunion. That's followed by a date with Staci, but things strangely feel like another one of George Patterson's tests. Fortunately, Arlene is yet again in position to save the day. What would our hero do without his redheaded goddess?

Chapter 88 is finally in the can. It was difficult to get it headed in the right direction for some reason, but I'm pleased with the result.

Chapter 69 of Best Summer Ever has been posted. Gary doesn't disappoint Arlene. He still has enough energy to get through a few days of modeling. Then he gets to serve as a reward for someone else.

I'm finally getting into the meat of Chapter 88. I can't claim writer's block, more like trying to make the pieces fit in a way that moves the story toward its intended conclusion. Sometimes, these characters seem to have a different agenda than I do. I'm trying to gently guide things along instead of forcing them into situations.

Chapter 68 of Best Summer Ever has been posted. Gary gets another reward from Kacie, gives Bethany a ride home after giving Bethany a ride and gets a surprise from Arlene.

Chapter 87 is in the can and 88 is in the works. We're starting to hit the stretch drive here.

Chapter 67 of Best Summer Ever has been posted. Gary and the gang begin to move on from the Erin B. drama, but Kacie has to reward her brother for his behavior. The poor guy may not survive much more thanks, but he faces better odd there than he does with Coach Bennett.

Downloads have passed 349K, with about 1,300 since the new chapter went up a little more than an hour ago. The score ticked up to 8.21 and held steady. The follower count moved past 570. I'm amazed that things keep trending upward. I keep waiting for the balloon to burst one of these days.

Chapter 66 of Best Summer Ever has been posted. Gary takes Erin B. out to lunch (without her dad tagging along) and winds up with more drama than any male should ever have to face.

Downloads passed 341K, so readership continues to be strong. The score briefly touched 8.21before slipping back to finish at 8.20 for the third day in a row. I'm almost to 570 followers and added another new patron on Patreon.

I finally got Chapter 87 finished last night and remain three weeks ahead of my SOL posting rate, so I'm feeling pretty good about things there. Thanks again for such continued support.
