In this week's chapters, Brenda actually reveals how to reach the entrance to the nest. I got a little ahead of myself last week in the description.
At the park Maddy, Ken and their Familiars finally get to enter the nesting site. There are several surprises along the way. The biggest is the ghost of the former Queen. There is a little problem when they are ready to leave.
Maddy's announcement that she is the new Dragon Queen has a stunning effect on all of those outside of the mountain. She and Ken are followed home by the other Dragons and eventually by the police and the reporters.
She deals first with the Dragons who doubt that she is the Queen. She sends them home after convincing them. The police and the reporters arrive following that. Maddy has a statement for the reporters.
David arrives to retrieve the DVD disk from his camera. He stops to talk to Maddy and Ken. Later they watch the news to check on how her statement is presented.
David and the Executive Committee are up late determining what they can tell the Mayor and City council tomorrow.
These are busy chapters and the point of view changes a number of times.

There is a lot of action this week. The chapters open with the Guardian telling Maddy where to learn more about the history and culture of the Dragons. She, Ken, and their Familiars spend considerable time and energy trying to locate the entrance. They finally locate it but are unable to reach it.
Later at home, Josh arrives with a problem. Gangsters have kidnapped his girlfriend. Maddy and the crew go with him to rescue her. It isn't difficult, even without the use of Magic.
That night, Brenda reveals how to reach the entrance to the Nest. The following day, Maddy, Ken, and their Familiars enter the Nest and are surprised by what they find there. Deep in the Nest, they are confronted by the Ghost of the old Queen. When they are ready to leave, they discover that things have changed while they were inside.
Maddy becomes an aggressive leader in these chapters but is still unsure about some things.

I wish to thank all of you who read "Broken Witch" during the Clitorides Awards, and especially those who voted for it. It was a very lively competition this year with many strong stories.

There are a number of points of view presented in these chapters along with a good bit of disappointment by some of the characters.
The new chapters open with the discovery of a storm that is hiding something. Mandara later tells the story of what happened. Later still, the Guardian appears to warn them about the Green Dragon's anger. She is shocked by what Maddy already knows.
In Atlanta previous to this, the Magic community was in a panic about the appearance of the Green Dragon. At a Wizards meeting, what it had done was discussed. They also wanted to know about the ward that Maddy has.
There were other meetings in Atlanta that night. Specifically, the mayor and the city Council had a meeting. The city administration goes to the Iey Line Wizards for help. At the same time, David has his own problems. The meeting with the City Council that night produces shock when they hear what the Wizards have to say.
The Wizards are shocked by Maddy's revelations of what is required to cast the Nesting ward.

These two chapters are very busy and switch back and forth between the main characters of the story.
The chapters open with a problem for Ken. Later Maddy investigates her Trust fund. She and Ken are surprised by what is revealed.
David is also having problems. He eventually agrees to chair their meetings, but is unhappy about that.
Three young almost Dragons appear. They crash the Wizards wards, and wreck the business that Ken had worked for. Later, they appear at Maddy's property, but get no where with her. She sends them off, but one is removed. David's camera recorded all of this.
Three days later, the Green Dragon chases and attacks two men in Atlanta in broad daylight. The chase is recorded and reported by an announcer in a helicopter. There is great panic because of this.
Maddy and Ken realize from this that they need to learn to fly so they can protect the city, but must decide where to learn to fly. Flying turns out to be a blast!

Today's postings almost didn't happen. Tuesday night my main computer with all of my stories on it went down. I only got it back this afternoon. Am still dealing with the differences in Windows 10. A big thanks to my computer wizard who got it repaired in time.
