Well, getting back to the posting of a new chapter every week went really well for a whole five weeks, and then real life intruded, again. So there'll be a delay on Chapter 101 - apologies to all. Still hoping to complete the story and have it up on the site by Christmas. Thanks, RR

A year ago, I cocked (UK), stuffed (AUS), fouled (US) up and lost the last 50,000 words of my story into cyber space. It's been six months since I posted the latest chapter, but I'm now (at long last) in a position to start posting the rest.
Thanks to Lazeez for NOT shaming me by marking the story as incomplete and inactive. No thanks to my fellow SOL authors, most of whom are far better writers than me, for distracting me during the summer - I'd especially like to point the finger of blame at Jay Cantrell for making me spend many happy hours reading his latest brilliant tale.
Yeah, it was my fault in the first place for making an elementary computer error - so once again, my apologies to those long-suffering people who are following my story.

I heard today that a friend has died. I never met him in person; he was kind enough to let me know that he enjoyed my stories, and we exchanged emails for a couple of years. He was always good humoured and fun to 'talk' to. My world is a poorer place for his passing. Rick, my friend, may the trout in heaven give you just as much enjoyment as the trout in Yellowstone did every year.

Once again, apologies for keeping both my fans waiting for this next chapter after I was such a pillock as to delete the file of work in progress... I now have enough material retyped to allow me to post with some confidence that I'm back on a weekly timetable. Thanks again to those who sympathised with my stupidity!

I think I've got a strong entry for the October title - on Tuesday I managed to delete and overwrite the file containing most of the final four chapters of my current story - around 50,000 words..... Utterly unrecoverable despite several tries. Oh well, my readers have been sympathetic in the past. Sorry, guys, this is going to delay completion beyond Halloween, which was my target. I'll get re-writing...
