A new chapter of 'The Private' should show up soon. The next chapter will be delayed as well, but not like this one. So if the long delays between postings are annoying (they are to me) then you might just sit this out until I get the whole story completed. We are nearing the last chapter.

I just wanted to let anybody know who is waiting that I've not abandoned 'The Private.' I have been really busy and still intend to finish it.

When I first posted it I had no real plans to expand it as much as it has. It was going to be short stories, but not necessarily posted in chronological order.

So I have stuff with gaps that are too long and filling them in is taking much longer than I had hoped.

To those of you hanging in there I hope it will be worth the wait when all is said and done.

I found myself with a little time this weekend so here is another chapter. Not my usual length but not a brief one like the previous chapter. I haven't given up on finishing. I hope nobody holds it against me that I'm stringing this out.

I know this is a short chapter but it was a logical place to break it. The next should be a 'normal' length. And thanks for the proofing. I've started corrections.

Thanks to everybody who has sent me encouragement. I have been thinking about my story 'The Private' and when I have time, writing.

I want to finish it completely before I post any more. The next chapter is a fairly big one in plot development and I've had to go back and change things as I work my way through.

Some of you might be okay with me posting revised chapters and just pushing ahead but I'm not comfortable doing it that way.

I can't tell you when I will get the next chapter up for sure. I hope it will be by this time next month at the latest.
