I was AWOL, but now I'm back. I have what I hope is an interesting 25 chapter book that is my first (and probably only) foray into the mind control genre. It's called The Magic Wand. I'll post three chapters a day until it's done, starting Monday, May 13th.
Now I don't read a lot of mind control stories, myself, so I get it if that's not your cup of tea. But you know my motto - Give it a try. It's a Lubrican story.
This is not to toot my own horn. Not at all. I just get a lot of mail from people who say things like, "I wasn't going to read [Put book title here] because it didn't sound like my thing, but since Lubrican wrote it, I gave it a try. I was glad I did."
And if you don't like this one, that's fine. I just sent Andy a new Uncle Bob story, and when that gets back, I'll post it, too.
Now, just as an update on my earlier blog, about the keyboard issue I was wrangling with, I finally decided on one. I went to the store and tried a bunch of them out. What felt the best to me was a Logitech G513 with Romer-G (blue) switches. I'm typing this blog entry on it right now.
Initi9ally it was a disaster, but I'm getting used to it and I think I'm going to like it a lot. I wrote this whole paragraph without any errors!
Oh, there's a 9 in the first word.
Crap.
I'm not perfect after all.
Thanks to all of you who support and encourage me. I pay attention to that.

Hello happy campers. I know you all are, because the old year is out and the new is about to begin, and that means a fresh start. Right?
Oh yeah. I forgot. This is the real world.
* sigh *
Okay, but at least we can have the start of a new story. (Author bows while appreciative audience applauds at his cleverness.)
What can I say? I get all giggly this time of year.
Okay, enough with the fluff. On to what you're actually interested in.
The new story is called Model Mother and the teaser is designed to get you to open it. Do not, however think, that this is the "usual" incest story about a boy and his mommy. It's not. It's complicated by a number of factors and that makes it slow. I didn't code it that way, because it's only seven chapters long.
I posted the first three today - you get extra because I didn't give you anything for Christmas. After this, though, it will be one chapter per day. I don't want to spoil you in the new year.
That all sounds incredibly pompous and conceited, doesn't it.
Well don't frown. You made me that way, what with all those compliments and asking for more and all that.
Thanks for reading.
Bob
P.S. May the new year bring you and yours peace, prosperity and happiness.
Okay. Andy got it edited and I started posting it today.
The new story is called "A Tale of Two Nannies" and it's fifteen chapters long. I'll post one or more every day until it's finished. This one will become 'for premier members only,' a week or two after it's finished, so if you want to keep it for later, then download it as it's posted.
Now I need to take another look at the un-posted chapters. When I convert the files to the SOL format, it mangles them, sometimes, mostly when it come to apostrophes and formatting. I think I caught everything in the first chapters posted. If I didn't, let me know.
And now you know why I put that end note on everything that says mistakes are my fault. The way I work, things get changed after Michelle and Andy do their thing. And sometimes I mess things up in the process.
Thanks for reading.

I've been quiet long enough that people are starting to write to me asking if I'm still alive. So I thought I'd bring things up to date.
I finished a new book and Andy has it for editing. He has some other things on his plate, though, so it's unknown when I'll get it back and be able to post it.
On the neuropathy-and-my-hands-don't-work thing, I'll tell you how ridiculous it's gotten. I've always been a touch typist, and I look at the paper/screen as I type. With the neuropathy, I can't feel the keys anymore, and I make zillions of mistakes by either hitting the wrong key or hitting two at once.
A particularly frustrating issue is when I miss a "c", "x", or "z" and hit Alt, Fn (function) or the windows keys. That tends to take me places I have to then get out of to get back to typing. So the fix I came up with was to hot-glue the Alt, Fn and windows keys so they can't be pushed anymore. The same thing was happening on the right side, so I glued those, too.
I told you it was ridiculous.
But it lets me type. Now all I have to do is make constant corections to words like the one five words ago, which should have been "corrections". Just to show you what that looks like, I'll describe the new book without making any corrections. Here goes.
It's called "The Profeassor's Nannies" and it'w about fifteen chapters long. Basically a professor hires two college girls to take care of his infant chiold and the hijinks take off from there.
Actually, that wasn't too bad. I cheated a little bit and looked at my hands while I typed it. Of course whenIm writing a book, there's more tyo put on the opage, and therfore more mistakes to correct later on. So it goes slowly, but I eventually get thingsl eoone.
Okay. I'll stop there. You get the idea.
Thanks for your patience.
Bob
I'm a still trying to reclaim my ability to write a short stroke story, without it blowing up into a novel.
When I sent Sharing With Sister to Andy, my editor, he sent back that it had little substance, was shallow and had almost no character development.
Is this not what a stroke story is?
So I posted it.
You be the judge.
