Thank you for all the emails about my continued support of this story. The good news is that I have had time to write this week, so you'll see a new chapter up pretty soon. With luck I'll have the first draft done today.
My schedule has been erratic. That's not anyone's fault, it's just life and we live it the way it comes. I write for the fun of it, I don't want to think of it as a job. That means if I'm mentally exhausted that I'm not going to push myself to write anyway. I'm fortunate enough to have a job that I enjoy, that also makes reasonably good money. That job has to come first, but I'll do my best to keep the chapters coming.
I now realize why some authors wait until the entire book is done before they start posting. Too late for that, but I might consider it if I do a second book.
Momma and baby are doing fine! Due 12 Dec (as if he has a calendar in there)!

Good news, the next chapter is done and in the hands of my editor. I'll post it as soon as he's done. The bad news is that while I am sorry about the delay, I expect more delays to come. That's just life.
Thanks for reading!

Hello Everyone!
Yes, I know it's time for another chapter. For the second week in a row my real work (the one that pays me) is impacting my writing time. Life happens and this week's chapter is NOT about to posted. It's only about half done at this point and I'm not going to rush it. Sorry to those waiting… it's just not going to happen this week.
On a more cheerful note. Congratulation to my wife Crissy! She's pregnant with our first child! She doesn't read this but I'm a proud papa, so I'm shouting it the world anyway.
Thanks to all for reading! I have not quit, I'm just overworked at the moment.

I've been asked about the next chapter repeatedly. It's coming soon. Really soon. It's already in my editors mail box (Thank you anonymous editor!) so it should be posted this weekend if not sooner. You might have noticed that there were several revisions to the first chapter. I think I'm done with it now and I like how it's setting things up.
To all of those who offered to help edit, THANK YOU! You are all great people to donate your time to help others. If anyone wants to take a second run through after the first edit I have no objections, just shoot me a note.
I expect to be able to get a chapter done each week. Unlike some, I'm not retired, so my work, my beautiful and brilliant wife, and my three kids cut into my leisure time, which could impact productivity.
Thank you for your time, I hope you enjoy my story.

All I can say is WOW!
This is amazing. I never thought that many people would take the time to read the start of my story and actually provide constructive feedback, encouragement, and even offers of assistance! Thank You SOL community! Let me give some bulk answers to some common comments:
- Yes I need a proof reader! I did it myself and my brain seems to read words that are not really there.
- If you point to them I will fix them! I don't take offense easily so feel free to bash any grammar or logic flaws. Or if you just hate me that's fine too!
- My personal favorite. Yes, English (US) is my first and only language.
- While I really posted this too early, I am encouraged to continue and intend to do so.
One last thing. I've discovered that Yahoo's online email does funny things with threading and makes it difficult to tell which emails I've already read and replied to. I'll be changing my email address for SOL to prevent this problem, but I hope that I've replied to all of those that took the time to send me a note. If I missed a question that you would really like answered please feel free to resend.
Thanks again!
