This short story occurs just after Jurassic B&B, so if you've been following 'Time Enough to Dream', it may seem confusing, as some of the characters in 'Interlude' have exited the current story. Just back up the time track of 'Time Enough to Dream' about 6 months and imagine none of that has happened yet, and you'll be okay - I hope. For those few who are actually reading the stories here in 'Bela's World', feel free to vote.

Went to send B-day wishes to a girl in Maryland who was an avid reader of my stories at one time - back when I had my own web-page on SmartGroups, only to find that wonderful Outlook has deleted my entire address book. Fuck.

This next book, Time Enough to Dream, is going to have several separate sections with each part following a different specific set of characters. Lisa will have her own story, as will the 'T' Twins and the 'M' twins. And (hopefully) when it's finally over, it will all come together. I've spent a few weeks working on Tia & Tara Simpson who get to meet their Uncle Buck, only to realize that this part will appear near the end of the story. I've also got most of the various chapters sorted out so that they can be presented as a whole, rather than jumping around from character to character, each with their own separate plot, so it should be a less confusing read.

I'll post a few chapters a week, similar to the way I posted the previous stories.

I've been spending the last week or so trying to sort out what I've got written that hasn't been posted. Also, what I managed to salvage after a hard drive crash a couple years ago (no ha-ha on that one). I finally went up on World-Groups and downloaded everything I'd posted there.

Boy, what a mess - just _trying_ to sort out the storylines I started on that one... Let's see - there's a Lisa & Vlad series, the "M" twins adventures and the Mesopotamian colony - enough there for 3 more books, Jeez! Plus, I remember a plot I started where Elaine and her twin daughters waged war against an Arcadian outpost, which I haven't found yet (I also haven't finished sorting out everything I've downloaded from World Groups, which, BTW, is going DEFUNCT at the end of this month (Another Jeez!) Oh, well, they lasted 3 years longer than SmartGroups did, though they made access to my site next to impossible. I'm sure if I'd gotten more than 10 members interested in my stories there, I might've put more effort into continuing the series. The response I've gotten here at Storiesonline is greater in the last 2 months than I got from 5 years from World Groups - no wonder they're going out of business.

Oh, hell. I'm rambling, now, aren't I (not a question).

With four plots going now, I need to figure out who goes first and what goes where and when, as the characters in all these stories seem to meander in and out of the other plots like they all co-exist at the same time or something (Oh, wait! They do! oh, god...), interacting with each other at random and interfering with each other's stories. I'm doomed.

So now everything that's been posted on other sites is posted here - except for the various chapters of Book 6 on the abandoned World Groups site. I just dropped by World Groups a few minutes ago and found a couple questions from a reader, Vesh, about where this series is going, and some plot line suggestions as well. To answer that: The 'M' twins alien adventures are what I was planning, but I haven't written it yet - mostly because I'm not sure my imagination is that... well... imaginative. So far, what I've got written, I've divided into two stories - Book 6, and a shorter story - like Jurassic B&B - about the Phoenix Preserve.

Back to the main topic - I was surprised to find an extended ending to Jurassic B&B which I never posted (unless I posted it on the World Groups site, which I think I'll add to the Phoenix Preserve story. I know there are a couple of readers who are anxious for me to get on with it and start posting again, so I'd best get back to it.
