An apology, sorry, there were problems with Jakes journey and I had extracted parts to be rewritten and didn't erase everything. Or something. It should be right now.

In the queue. My thanks to Old Rotorhead for editing and his erudition - that means he's read more book than me - which has improved the end result and kept it more accurate historically. 24 is already under way.

Old rotorhead has edited chapters 18,19,20 and 21. Generally my bad punctuation, but he has also made some excellent suggestions and pointed out some historical inaccuracies. I think we have a much improved and readable stroy.

I had also made a silly error in naming Lord Kingswood's daughter Lady Kingswood. That would, of course, be his wife. So when you see her in future she will be Lady Beatrice Hatherley.

I've just update the character list to include 21 with a few notes

Bora da! I hope everyone is keeping safe in these trying times. HL and I are isolated in normal times so we are not feeling too much pain and the red wine hasn't run out yet.

Latest chapter is in the queue, not too much to say about it apart from there being some dialogue that is in French and I have represented this using italics.
