So Much Time ... So Little To Do!

Posted at

In the real world, we all have times when we have more time to deal with than the rush of No Time At All to do Important things.

Work Time Off including, Vacations, Sickness, Unemployment and Retirement all create a batch of Mega Time. The longer the period lasts the more time we (I) seem to waste. I guess the normal tendency of us humans (ME!) is to lean toward procrastination.

So, anyway, I've run into a real long patch of that 'Work Time Off.'

Well, I've neglected some of my stories that are not complete and put new stories on hold. What I need to do is get back to the fun of writing I enjoy so much.

Although, seeing I don't want to make empty promises, I can say I will try to dedicate a block of time every day to move my incomplete stories forward to completion and get back to my love, Constructing Stories.

The Convent - Chapter 19

Not sure how it happened but Chapter 18 got doubled and Chapter 19 got lost in the shuffle.

Interesting how it took so long for someone to bring it to my attention but I've put back the correct Chapter 19. It might be worth taking a look at that chapter because it had a few important points in the story line.

Dead Girl On Sumptner Beach

Because of recent feed-backs I've reviewed the entire story and made a lot of changes. Hopefully I've corrected most of the typo/spelling/grammar/punctuation errors and improved the dialogue.

If you've read Dead Girl On Sumptner Beach before, I hope a re-read will find the changes have improved the original story.

As always, if you find an error in anything I write, please let me know so it can be corrected.

Yoron's Comment

I agree with Yoron about this not being a professional's writer's website to post their works of art but one for us amateurs to have fun and enjoy.

Adding to his scoring philosophy I submit two points. First, I think someone who posts a ridiculously low score because he wants to boost his own score should be banned from the site. Perhaps that's an impossible thing to do, but I think you get my point. It's not fair.

My other point has to do with serial stories which I tend to write. I just can't hold back posting during time it takes to write a complete novel. I've found many times the reader gives an extremely low score to an early chapter because he just doesn't see it.

I've even had a few "1's" and "2's." Really now. If someone can work out how to post something here, he deserves at least a "3."

But that's not what I'm referring to. What my point here is, if someone gives a serial story a low score early on, they should go back after a few more chapters are added and see if the score was justified. If the story starts to make sense and perhaps the spelling or grammar errors have been corrected, CHANGE YOUR SCORE!!!

Finally, I feel a score say below 5 or 6 should require a comment to at least tell the author what the error of his ways are.

That's the way I see it.
