Midsummerman: Stories

Cecil Farner has his life set out for him, his parents deciding that he should 'take the cloth' and become a missionary through an obscure religious sect, despite him having no real faith in it at all. He is also tutored toward manhood by his ex-Governess privately, and soon learns that she and the religious order are inextricably linked. He finds that the order is run by the authority of some very domineering women, whose intention is to put him to good use overseas, but not as he'd thought.

In an outwardly dystopian world where no sexual deviances are allowed, those caught in breach of authority are either executed, or transported to planet Vorlax 5. As with any society, there is an underworld operated by that authority, which prospers through those deviations. Tina is a sissy -strictly forbidden in that society- but is made good use of by many through covert means, before finding herself on the punishment planet of Vorlax 5... where she finds anything goes...

'Plain Janes' are not always what they seem. Some have been tutored by relatives who remain in the background, waiting to receive victims into a contrived web.
