An old man has been shuffled off to a home by his family, he still has plenty of life in him but the family don't want the bother. They arrange someone to visit him in the home - a busybody who insists on getting to know him better and find out what he misses; until, that is, he tells her what his biggest regret is. No sex in chapter 1, there may be later.
The Reliant Supervan MkIII is a genuine car, it has three wheels and a 750cc engine. Reliant made 3-wheelers and Scimitars - nearly the first hatchback in the world (and a seriously performing car) (thanks to Clutterbug for the info about the Kaiser hatchback). The three wheelers were not babe-magnets, in this story that is a distinct advantage.
Southhamptonshire was keen to improve its schools; they recognised that girls' schools needed to bring education of young women to a much higher standard. Jack Small was the man employed to do it. But schools for girls were not what he expected. It was an interesting, and definitely enjoyable learning experience.
