Baal: Stories

Sometimes we are not perfect. No, let's rephrase that, we usually are not perfect. If we expect that we will always be disappointed. If we base 'trust' on that it can be even worse. Sometimes we must lose something to understand the big picture. Some things we can never fix or go back to. Life is like that, so is death.

In this day and age we all have heard different scenarios about Calvary, from things like the 'Charge of the Light Brigade', 'Gallipoli' and 'Custer's Last Stand'. Let me add another tale about the 'Cossack'. Some things are historically accurate, some conjecture. Our main characters are:Countess Ileana Marie Pechanga, Colonel, 13th Don Cossack Regimental Commander, illegitimate daughter of the Tsar. Victor Mikel Feodor Illinova, eventually becoming Aide to the 13th, Don Cossack Regiment.

A boy leaves his home in the hills of West Virginia and returns a man. He finds he has nothing left anymore but finds people there he never appreciated before. Your thoughts about the future for Rob and the girls is encouraged. Should he or should he not love them? He can come back to find they have gone on with their life without him or that the time away did not change their feelings. There is no cheating or revenge here folks, just a normal part of life; you decide the next step.

Some things cannot be done alone; they need co-operation. In the greater scheme of things, that usually derives from caring about something. Caring can cause anger, resentment and in some cases love. Join a young man who only feels he has a job and tries to do it well, then finds out it leads to real friends and maybe caring and love too. The setting is S E France, the action mostly in Europe, that changes eventually also.

We all have those times when either nothing seems to go right, or everything that shouldn't, turns to Gold. Sometimes both happen, like in this story.

Thing happen I know. Why they all seemed bad to me, I did not know. Texas, more accurately, Dallas, was one of the constants now in my life. Mira, my sister, and Brooke now, seemed to keep me on the right track. Everything else was for 'Shit'. I had started a small, low cost gym and found that it did not pay the bills. Personal protection was the natural next step and then we seemed to have hit some measure of success, at least in business.
