Foreword

(Important - Please read)

I originally started posting this story about a decade ago as “Puzzle Box Genie” under the name Rising Flame. However, after a few changes in my personal and professional life, I removed it and deleted my account a few years ago. But things have once again changed, and during the first lockdown, I revisited and started to rework this story and hopefully, improved it.

New Readers - Not much to say really, other than I hope you enjoy the story. I hope to post every other week. I love to hear feedback, so please comment or DM me your thoughts.

Returning Readers - This is for everyone who read the original story. I looked at everything you guys said, and I made some changes. Most of the changes were spelling and grammar. I’ve worked hard to fix all the mistakes and used editing software to refine my work.

Second, I’ve altered the cast. Many of you mentioned the cast growing too large, and I agree. While the main cast has remained the same, some characters have had their roles reworked, reduced or removed entirely.

Finally, I’ve tried to keep each chapter around 8000 words to keep posting regular (every week) and tried improve the pacing. I hope all the changes are for the better and you enjoy revisiting this story. Please let me know what you think and enjoy.
