Coming of Age Story: Shelly Nilsson is a character from my ongoing story, 'Memories'. ‘Shelly’ is an amalgamation of the hardships of two real life girls, and how they grew up, for good or ill. This is Not the real-life story of a single woman. My own experiences are also a catalyst for writing this character as part of ‘Memories’.

I want to be very clear from the outset that this is a very sad, very disturbing background story for one of the key characters from my ongoing tale, ‘Memories of a Good Life’.
I want to stress that it is not necessary to read this to enjoy ‘Memories’.
This is a work of fiction, however it is based on real events that happened to (two different) real girls. Their tragic experiences shaped the women they became, and ‘Shelly’ is an amalgamation of their hardships and how they overcame them. This is Not the real-life story of a single woman. My own experiences are also a catalyst for writing this character as part of ‘Memories’.
There is no ‘on-screen’ sex at all in this story.
