Accident happens and suddenly a man and a number of women are stuck in the desert/jungle/alien planet and have to survive and interact with each other.
Bonus points if its not a cmsix styled story where the man gets all the time to prepare and gather as many cheats as he possibly can.

Couple of stories but someone will have to add the names;
Young man's family have all died in a short while so he starts building a house in the forest to get away from people. Local sheriff dumps three youngsters on him - two sisters and their brother.
Again a man (ex army) buys a house to avoid close proximity to civilisation with a ghost which turns out to be a girl and her mother. Ends up owning many farms and making wine and spirits
Both quite good stories with a bit of violence in the first one. In each story the MC was preparing to live by himself and didn't want or plan for company but it was forced on him.

I like to think of this as life or whatever showing someone they are not really in control.

Except the 'reluctant savior' is generally reluctant at the beginning of the story, rather than later, although then tend to remain reluctant for the entire story. It's not so much that they've learned something, as they never wanted the responsibilities to begin with, but accept them once they're foisted on them.
