I've gotten a number of really constructive emails from the SOL community recently with feedback on my stories and have taken a long time to edit and re-edit my chapters.
As I've looked over my own content with your comments lodged in my brain, I've realized that I'm much better suited for shorter, punchier chapters and those are the kinds I'll be writing the future.
That's not to say that there will be pitiful little updates of 900 words or so at a time. I'll bunch together my updates into arcs instead of dribbling it out bits at a time and frustrating those of you who prefer binge reading.
The implications of this for my story in progress are actually pretty huge. I'm (eventually) going to go back all the way to chapter one and do some real surgery with the text.
This won't change the storyline dramatically, but it will get rid of the first four ugly scenes that tend to drag the action way down and keep readers from getting to the good stuff.
I'll get to this after I've reached the end of A Firm Hand. Chapter 18 or so.
Long story short: I want to thank the SOL community for being such a positive influence.
You people are the best!
