Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry for not updating any of my stories lately or my blog. I've meant to and planned to but something always seemed to come up and then it was late and I had to go to bed because I had to get up in the morning. (groan!)
Things have been slow for me story wise. Technically, I've had computer gremlins bother my computer and cause windows to crash and not start up. Fortunately all my files are safe but its really frustrating! I've got that puter running with a different hard drive but I can't do anything on the net as the pages won't load. I can connect but that's it. Even if I did, trying to download all the updates so it'd be safe online would take days! (groan!)
Fortunately I do have an old laptop that I'm using. It's a nice little puter but I think it gets stressed out a lot because I'm asking too much of it at times. The keyboard also takes a lot of getting used to. Right now I'm doing okay but at other times I'll hit the wrong thing and get completely lost as the cursor jumps or things get deleted.
It's pretty frustrating and doesn't really inspire me to write much. I have done some editing though and refreshed my memory so I can get back into writing though.
Personally, I've had ups and down. I'm worried about friends who have problems of various sorts, including the one who first encouraged me to write and post in the first place.
Yesterday was Jenny's birthday. Happy Birthday Jenny! I hope it was a great one!
Unfortunately, it's the second one I've celebrated without her or her life partner Paula or their friends. Even worse, in less than a week it'll be two years since I last hear from them. It still hurts. I don't cry myself to sleep any more. Not very often, any way, but it still hurts. I wish I knew how they were. My emails still go through but they haven't replied.
Since Jenny is the one who first encouraged me to write and post my stories, I can't help thinking about her and Paula when I write. That gets me to missing them and gets me to feeling sad. Then I feel worse because I know they wouldn't want me to worry about then and to keep up with my stories.
So when I haven't been yanking on my hair and begging the fairies to thump the computer gremlins once and for all, I've been distracting myself with other things. Some of them are story related though. I did get the first chapter of a story done. It'd probably be about three chapters. Hopefully you'll like it. If not, hopefully you won't hate it.
I've also been doing prep and research on another story based in a game universe so there's lots of research to do and game rules to try and understand. That of course leads me to asking questions. Some have been, others I'm still waiting for, and others have been answered but left me with more questions.
I don't know if I'll write it the story or not though. It seems really ambitious to me and I've got so many other still open. Still, I do enjoy that game universe and planning things out is fun. I can also do it offline.
The other good thing, for me any way, is that I'm watching more anime. I used to watch a lot but I haven't really until recently. I'm starting to again though, so I think that's a good thing. And no, I do not cosplay. It might be fun though. If I knew how to sew.
So, that's what's been going on lately. I hope you can forgive me for not being more up to date on things. I'm going to try to do better and get back on track.

Surprise! I posted a new chapter of Columbus. I hope you like it. It hasn't been edited by anyone other than me so if you spot any mistakes the gremlin did it.
I am sorry it's been so long since I've worked on many of my stories. It's taken me a while to get back in the mood to write. Now it's just a matter of finding the time. It's hiding but I know it's here some where.
I'm hoping to gradually update all my stories that are still unfinished. I was going to work on Down a Rabbit Hole but I can't find the notes I had for it. I'm hoping it's on the other computer but getting it plugged back in isn't something I'm looking forward to so I'll probably work on that one last. I've also been working on a new story that, hopefully, will be complete when I post it.

I just found out a friend of mine's house burned down Tuesday and that she lost nearly everything. I'm just glad I didn't lose her! Is there any way you all could help her? I've asked if she's signed up for any wish lists. I'll let you know when I hear back from her. Even if you can't afford to help her materially if you could at least pray for her that would be great.
