Yes, I know it says Chapter 6 on the Top of Chapter 4, but on the html file I submitted it definitely says 4.1!
I guess it's that clever software that SOL uses this time: I'm not sure what I can do my end to prevent formatting errors.
I will shortly be submitting the first three chapters of my longest work to date. They, together with several more chapters, will be known as the 'Just Good Friends Universe'. This was referred to at the end of the story 'Mr Wilkins', published earlier.
The first two chapters are composites of quite short parts which are linked thematically, but can also be read as stand alone stories. Chapter 3 consists of three parts which initially span a period of one week, but which concludes a few months later. Subsequent chapters will continue to highlight the lives of some of these central characters and will employ the same format of long and short parts. There will be at least another four chapters in this part of the universe, with associated chapters being introduced in the future.
This is another story that features two children who meet and then literally and metaphorically, travel life's road together.
Although I always try to make my stories 'credible', this one may require a bit more suspension of disbelief than usual…however, that's the nature of fiction. It's also another one of those tales that has been hanging around for a while waiting to be finished. By submitting the first parts, I at least have a good incentive to finally come up with an ending.
I think it's about time that I acknowledged all those people who have read my stories, contacted me to offer feedback, and to point out those errors and omissions that I've made. As I usually tell those people, you have my thanks and appreciation, and I do listen to you. THK
