Just thought to put this in a blog post. I have been inactive for a while due to several factors, but most recently it is because my family was flooded out and lost almost everything. We're safe and were never in any danger but having 4ft of water in your place kind of puts things in a different perspective. This post is coming from my phone because I don't currently have a working computer. I've had several ideas for a few of my stories and even a few ideas for flashes and short stories, but at the moment writing is far down on my list of priorities, even if I had a computer to do it on. We are recovering, and will continue to do so, but it's a slow process. Thank you to all of those that still write occasionally to check on me, I appreciate it and that you are still interested in my writing.
I've received several emails over the last year and one pointedly telling me I hadn't even updated the blog in several years. I apologize for that. There wasn't much to tell outside of informing you all that I haven't given up on writing, but am not the same person that started writing the stories posted. I'm not taking anything down, but if they're continued several will get a serious rewrite.
I have started a couple of new ones, but my time is not my own. I've been working an average of 70 hours a week. In the last year I've spent more time in the hospital than anyone really needs to if they're not the one sick, and add on top of that 2 children under 5. It is unlikely things are going to slow down in the near future unless I can find a much better paying job where I don't have to two just to survive. I actually have some leads, so who knows, blessings may be headed my way. Until then thank you for all the well wishes and kind words.
