Miss Francis Callen
Miss Callen was from one of the most prominent families in Selma, Alabama. She had a Master of Arts in History from the University of Chicago and a LLB from Columbia Law School, when it was very rare for women to do those things. She was a real lady and a fine history teacher. (I especially appreciated her offer to represent me pro bono during my college days.)
