This is something I have been fiddling with for some years now: It's a long term project, but Part 1, is sort of finished and I would like some feedback as to whether there is merit in the work. So I am going to tidy it up for release and see what happens. Chapter 1 is ready now.
This is straight Science Fiction/Fantasy and is not in any way an erotic tale, though there might be some sex before the project is finished. I have wondered if this site is the best place to release this work, but I have found that people here are open and helpful, critical without being damning and basically diamonds in the rough.
I am not quite sure what my expected demographic is for this, but I would humbly suggest without meaning to acquire praise by association that I would want it to appeal to the same sort of audience that found something like The Belgariad enjoyable, though I have no illusions regarding my own worth and do not mean to imply that I am some sort of 'Eddings'.
If this is not for you or if you feel that it should be posted elsewhere, please accept my apologies.

I have just submitted Chapter 8. Special thanks to MatthewB for his selfless help in proofing this chapter. I didn't take all the advice given and I am an inveterate fiddler, so any mistakes remaining are most definitely down to me.

Well I have moved and finally managed to get internet access. My ISP had to do a survey before they would guarantee to connect my new abode and then Easter intervened and well it took until Tuesday to re-obtain access to the web. Everything is sorted now and seems to be working, so I have no more excuses.
Chapter 8 is coming along nicely, but will require another couple of days to complete and tidy-up. I am still living amongst bags and boxes and that kind of needs sorting out as well... Anyway it won't be long, I promise.

A big thank you to the many who not only take the time to give me feedback, but actually make it really helpful by spotting and identifying errors for me.
It's been bad the last few days - I seem to have caught a nasty cold and I don't do colds; I really hate them. I am also in the midst of moving house, so it's difficult to find long enough stretches to make writing worthwhile (and anyway my nose is far too sore to be put to the grindstone!).
Hopefully my next blog will be to announce a chapter release.

I've been a systems programmer for more years than I care to tell and I play with html all the time - I should be able to do it! I did do it with the earlier chapters.
I'll read the instructions again and check the source for html funnies.
