Hey everyone.
Just thought I would put up a note letting anyone interested know that I haven't stopped writing and am still working on 'The Loser', as well as my new story.
I have decided to try and finish the current story-line in 'The Loser' before posting further chapters.

Not good news. It seems the aliens in 'The Loser' are trying to take over the story.
I am still having problems getting any ideas down on what to do with Andy and the gals. I have a basic theme I keep working on about the native girls, but every attempt at writing it out so far has ended up focusing on the aliens. So far I have restarted chapter 26 from scratch four times. The current iteration has eight paragraphs so far.
In other news, I am having pretty good success with my new story. I have 3 chapters completed and a good portion of a fourth. Andy's aliens have tried to hijack the story but I have managed to keep them out. This new story is not supposed to be sci-fi!
Speaking of connecting stories, I had a comment suggesting I make my second story a prologue to an 'Andy's World' tie in by having the aliens rescue him as well. I didn't do that because the story was an outlet for me. I may do a re-write with a different ending or add another chapter to change the outcome.
In the meantime, I am on a liquid diet this week in anticipation of some interior photographs being taken since I have passed the half-century mark. I'm sure many will understand the reference and laugh. I must say that I am not looking forward to the experience.

Okay, I admit it. I am currently stuck on where to proceed with 'The Loser'. Every time I start to write, the story takes off in a completely unusual direction, involving story lines that do not directly advance the story. Things just seem to be getting more convoluted. I have taken the new lines and saved them into separate files which I hope to develop into other stories. Until I can get things flowing smoothly again with Andy, I am going to try working on a different, much shorter shorter story.
Don't worry, I am not abandoning Andy and the ladies, just taking some time to try and get my thoughts in order.
Chapter 25 is finally in the queue for posting.
Now that the holidays are over, maybe I can get my mind back in the groove for writing.
Don't know what to say except I hope this year is a lot better than the last one.
