After the end...
One second I was bleeding to death, surrounded by my bodyguards and comforted by my Baby Girl; And the next I was flying towards another life. There was no cessation of life this time. I simply died and instantly headed towards my new assignment.
The universe filled my head with details going back years. The new life ahead of me appeared to belong to a very average young man. His memories were downright pedestrian, and from what the universe shared of his life, he lived a rather boring existence. His friends and relatives seemed to be thoroughly ordinary.
As I neared consciousness, it was apparent that I could see inside his head. Through the slowly clearing fog of distance and time the many pieces of the life of Mark Edward Hancock slowly swirled into a collection of memories, instead of fragments and images bouncing off my consciousness. Those pieces began to coalesce into a scene and the scene slowly framed itself into an event into which my mind was about to be placed.
