Just Another Day, Maybe Not

Chapter 13
Just a FYI. I am not doing the Alpha/Bravo thing on this story anymore. Those girls are too damn cute and I never ever would leave them until the day I died.
Hey, be nice I know that that can be arranged and no, you cannot have them, their mine, mine, mine, all of them.
When I first saw them, even when they let me become 'The Black Knight', I knew, just knew my future was inextricably linked to them and 'The Preserve'.
Time moved on and Leslie, Daphne, all the girls let me adjust to being back and to get to know my children. Let me tell you, I could only call them a 'gaggle'. OK! So instead maybe this is what a harem is, and that is not PC unless in Utah, Arizona, Texas and Maryland, at least in the US. I did not care what it was called.
I did not think I had been gone so long, yet the children seemed not only healthy, happy and growing like weeds, but there was something else, something about them. I noticed it one day during our normal breakfast routine. Each mother led or carried the child then lined up before me. I got and gave a kiss and a hug to each. Daphne and Leslie were always last and with them we all went down to eat. No words, at least no verbal words could be heard but it was as if the children were listening and talking to each other. At times they would look up at their Mothers, at Leslie or me then continue to the dining area. Meals were always served there, never in the kitchen.
I never heard anything or saw anything to indicate an order, but when the meals were served, several different types were presented, with each child seemingly pleased with what they received.
Today was also different. Leslie rose, followed by Daphne, motioned to me and said, "It is time, Sir Knight." As they left the room, I followed. As we got to the door, Ralph was standing there. "All is as you ordered my Queen."
As promised when I got back and was accepted again, I was obviously to learn more of the 'secrets' of 'The Preserve'. Leslie took one hand, Daphne the other and as I glanced back everyone was like a troop in review, a grand review, farewell or start of some great adventure. Should I be concerned, damn straight, yet my inner sense told me everything would be fine.
Ralph led, we followed across the drawbridge. I was expecting the SUV or even one of those neat buses they had. Instead we turned left and started walking. It must have been much earlier than I thought because we seemed to be walking into deep mists or a cloud. Within a few steps, one could no longer see the Castle, yet it had been right there a few seconds ago. In a few more steps a sort of shimmering door just appeared. It was 15 or 16 foot high and 5-6 feet wide. (Think like 5 metres tall and almost 2 wide) We all just continued walking through that door. Inside we all stopped as a disembodied voice spoke. "Caretaker, who do you bring?"
"Sire, Queen Lassalle, Princess Daedal and the Black Knight."
"Well met my children. How are the rest?"
