Chapter 20
Now that he was no longer dependent on the good will of the head of Homeland Security to keep his pension, John was able to defy her as needed.
She was almost as rabid an anti Second Amendment advocate as a certain California politician. It wasn't that guns were evil or bad, after all, her security team kept her safe by force of arms, it was the fact that without the Second ... the provisions of the rest of the protections of the people were no longer valid.
That was what "the Ruling Class" wanted. The problem was, the Ruling Class was getting old. Old men and old women, steeped in power and privilege, were dying. They were Law Makers and law makers must make laws ... they did.
Passing laws that do not apply to themselves ... or their spouses and children.
Arranging wars to remove the best of the opposition and doing it under the title of "Duty to God and Country."
No Sir..."The people must not be able to defend themselves against their duly elected officials." Once the ability for self preservation is no longer possible, the ability to assemble, to speak freely, to complain will fall as surely as it fell in Hitlers Germany. There are always enough frustrated high school bullies and neighborhood gossips to intimidate and report "infractions."
For years, the consolidation of school districts and the building of new "campuses" had given the politicians a place to house dissidents. More like medium security prisons, the 'safety of the children' was secondary to the real purpose ... house the malcontents. In rural areas, the consolidated schools were built on the edge of town ... out where the elimination of those who knew freedom could take place.
This was no new idea ... this was set in place in the 1920's with the young men and women driven to succeed in education and become professors and administrators. Through the years, classes with socialist bents were implemented and placed in the position of 'required for graduation' credits. The interviewing of new teachers asked the question, what did you think of Professor So and So's class. Those who loved it were on track, those who didn't were sent to work the yard.
Certain rules were instituted ... immunization was one ... make the people into sheep ... that forced dependence on rules and regulations that were always changing until EVERYONE was a criminal in one manner or form ... the most important thing was to keep the freedom lovers out and the 'toe the line' people in. Government supported doctors of psychology wrote reams of directed papers declaring the Second Amendment Right's people were borderline psychotics ... and paranoid.
Paranoia isn't if "they" ARE out to get you ... and "They" were!
In the two party system it's important to have a party of idiots ... they were succeeding. The new politicians in one party were absolutely insane ... or were they? Were they also in on the fix? Were the socialists smart enough to train up politicians to join the opposition and destroy it from the inside? Evidently.
