Chapter 9: Things Heat Up

Later that day I got a call from Judy, Sandy's mom. She asked if she could come over to just talk with me. I answered "You are more than welcome in my house any time and don't even need to have a reason. She then surprised me saying "That's good because I'm right outside your door on my cell phone." And then the bell rang.

I opened the door and let her in. I told her we can chat in the kitchen. She asked "Can we talk on the patio instead? It's such a nice day." "I guess we can," I answered "but only if you promise to behave." She looked disgruntled as she said "I'll try but no promises." I grabbed a couple of cokes from the fridge and we made our way onto the deck. She took a seat at the picnic table and I sat opposite her just to be on the safe side. She raised her eyebrows and asked "What's the matter? Are you afraid of me?" I replied "You girls just about killed me last night so I'm not taking any chances. You just might try again." "Relax Greg, I'm not here to jump your bones even though I would like to. I'm here to talk with you about Sandy. She needs your help on something important."

I told her "Judy, you know that I would do anything for any of my girls. So, what's so important that she can't ask me herself?" "Greg, she is too embarrassed to ask you. It's a very personal matter and she can just barely talk to me about it. I had to grill her until she finally told me, this morning. We had about a two hour talk about it. She explained her decision and I told her my views on the matter. While I didn't reject her idea outright I also had to caution her to be very careful and think it over first before she does anything." "What does she want to do Judy, drop out of school and rob a bank or something?" "Actually believe it or not it's something bigger than that."

"Ok so you've got my attention. What could it be that is so bug?" "I'm not sure how to tell you this delicately so I'll just say it." Long pause "Greg, Sandy ahs thought about it and she has decided that she wants to loose her virginity." "So, what's the big problem?" " The problem, as you put it, is that she doesn't want it to be with some inept pimply faced teenager who would just hurt her and then leave" another pause " She told me that she wants to give herself to ... You. She told me that Kim had told her about the beautiful and tender way she gave up hers. I put two and two together and figured out who the lucky guy was. It could only have been you." "So there, I've said it. Please Greg, don't reject her flatly. She told me she made the decision over a year ago. She loves you and from what I can observe, you love her too. If I'm all wrong just tell me and I'll let it drop and leave."
