Poem Story: tale of a little girl not so little now..
Tags: True Story
There was a child once
small and almost alone
She was beaten and broken
but the scars went deeper than bone
Cast out by the one who was suppose to love
words of hatred grained into her mind and soul
For so long she was lost
in her eyes there was no hope ... no light
There are marks on her
a reminder of her darkest hour
So young...
fragile...
That night she almost gave in
no way out of a dead end road
but she survived
So many out there with stories of their own
she knows that many are so worst than hers
But there is a rainbow so to speak
a light shining brightly
to give hope to those who are weak
That girl...
that little girl is no more
I know because she is me
Moments still haunt me
her voice a whisper
the bitter words that were uttered
To the others out there
you are far from worthless
You are smart
you are strong
Hope is such a powerful word
one that can make you can rise above it all
All the tears that were shed,
the pain that cut so deep
All of it heals with time
just need to believe
I tell myself this often
and now I pass it to you
Every now and then even an angel falls
but in time will soar once more
