My real name is not Ricky Fontaine, but I'm well over 18 now, and I guess I should issue the standard content warning about this is adult (18+) fiction as it involves acts that could, and/or might be construed to be incest, rape and nonconsensual sex if it was actually real. Also, trust me on this hypnosis doesn't work this way.

OK, I’m the Triplet’s, Beatrice, Larissa, and Charmaine, older Brother, Ricky Fontaine. I’m the author, or nom-de-plume, of this story anyway. My real name is not Ricky Fontaine, but I’m well over 18 now, and I guess I should issue the standard content warning about this is adult (18+) fiction reading material derived from my vivid overworked imagination, as it involves acts that could, and/or might be construed to be incest, rape and nonconsensual sex if it was actually real. Also, trust me on this, we are assured by all the so-called experts in the various fields of psychology, and psychiatry that hypnosis does not work this way in real life. WARNING: Do Not Try This At Home. That being said, let us move on to the story...
Synopsis; The Triplets, and their younger Brother, me, Ricky, get more than we (well, I do anyway) bargained for when we visit Harrah’s Gulf Coast Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi and I get roped into volunteering to be hypnotized in a hypnosis stage show act. Hypnotist Hal, it seems, is far more than he appears to be we all soon learn, and our lives change forever.
1: You bought the ticket, now take the ride.
There are basically 3 types of triplets... #1. Identical Triplets (Monozygotic): This occurs when a single fertilized egg splits into three embryos. All identical triplets share nearly identical DNA, and are always of the same sex. This type of triplet is extremely rare, with estimates of occurrence being about 1 in 100,000 live births. #2. Fraternal Triplets (Dizygotic or Trizygotic): This type occurs when three separate eggs are fertilized by three different sperm. Fraternal triplets can be of the same sex or different sexes and are genetically similar to regular siblings. This is the most common type of triplet pregnancy. #3. Mixed Triplets: It is also possible to have a combination of identical and fraternal triplets. For example, two of the triplets could be identical (from one fertilized egg that split) while the third is fraternal (from a separate fertilized egg). This scenario is less common but still entirely possible.
In my Sister’s case they were Identical Triplets, each with their own cozy little individual placenta and amniotic sac. Yes, identical twins or triplets that share a single placenta and amniotic sac, are called monochorionic twins or triplets, while identical twins or triplets that develop with separate sacs and placentas, are called monozygotic. It all depends on the precise timing of the single fertilized egg’s division.
If division occured within the first three days, each triplet forms its own chorion (outer membrane) and amnion (inner sac membrane). This results in dichorionic-diamniotic (DCDA) twins, where each baby has its own placenta and amniotic sac, structurally resembling fraternal twins. Approximately 20% to 30% of identical twin pregnancies are DCDA. Identical twins that share a single placenta are called monochorionic triplets.
If division happens between four and eight days, triplets share a single chorion and placenta, but each develops within its own amniotic sac. This is monochorionic-diamniotic (MCDA), the most common type, accounting for 60% to 70% of cases. Between nine and twelve days, twins share both a single chorion (placenta) and a single amniotic sac. These are monochorionic-monoamniotic (MCMA) triplets, comprising 1% to 5% of identical twin pregnancies. Division after twelve days increases the possibility of conjoined twins, where separation is incomplete.
While most twin and triplet pregnancies (about 70-80%), each twin or triplet has its own placenta and amniotic sac. In those cases, it is possible for the water to break for each twin or triplet separately, which means you can experience three distinct water breaking events. The time between these events can vary significantly, ranging from minutes, to hours, or even days. Delivery times for triplet pregnancies can vary significantly due to the increased risks associated with multiple gestations.
Approximately 60% of triplet pregnancies occur before 37 weeks (259 days) of gestation never reaching the projected 38th week (266 days), with an average gestation of around 32 weeks (224 days). Many triplet pregnancies end in a cesarean C-section for the safety of the babies and the mother, as vaginal delivery is often quicker for twins, but it is much more challenging and complex for triplets.
By 37 weeks, each triplet typically weighs between 4 to 6 pounds and has developed their vital organs, including mature lungs, which are crucial for independent breathing outside the womb. Their digestive and temperature regulation systems are also well established, although brain development will continue after birth. You may also notice that their movements feel different as space in the uterus becomes limited, their kicks and squirms should become softer and/or less frequent.
A prenatal ultrasound (a test that uses sound waves to capture real-time images of your uterus) will confirm a triplet pregnancy by showing the three fetuses and their developing condition. The placenta is an organ that attaches to the wall of the uterus and transfers blood, oxygen, and nutrition from mother to baby through the umbilical cord. If a placenta supports more than one baby, it ages faster, limiting your babies’ natural growth potential. It may also provide imbalanced nutrients to each baby, causing one to grow larger while another remains smaller.
The average weight at birth for triplets is just under 4 pounds. Approximately 20% of triplet pregnancies result in one child having a life-long handicap of some sort. A preterm delivery means an increased risk that your baby’s lungs, eyes, brain, circulatory system, and intestinal system are not fully developed yet. It is likely that your babies will require a stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where any complications will be treated, and they can thrive and grow.
A normal natural vaginal delivery, through the vagina, the birth canal for triplets, usually takes between 36 (252 days), to 37 weeks (259 days), of pregnancy. Spontaneous vaginal delivery pretty much happens on its own naturally. Going into labor naturally at 36 weeks (252 days) of pregnancy is considered ideal. Induced vaginal delivery on the other hand require drugs, and/or other techniques to start labor and soften, or open the cervix, for delivery.
In Mom’s case the doctors had to finally, on day 255, do a C-section. In a caesarean C-section the baby is delivered through a C shaped surgical incisions made in the abdomen and uterus. About 1 in 3 American babies are born via C-section today, and about 1 in 3 sets of twin births are natural vaginal births. So cesarean, or C-section births are not uncommon. Mom still complains the doctors (quacks) didn’t give her enough drug, and the doctors ... the obstetricians ... the quacks, (quack, quack, quack) ... were a bunch of sadistic sons-of-bitches that hated women, and loved to see them suffer.
There were all kinds of name suggestions: Addison - Alison - Arieon (son of Adam - noble - silver) ... Abbott - Belinda - Charmaine (priest - very beautiful - song) ... Francis - Franklin - Frederick - Ricky ... Marcus - Calithea - Elqenna (to harvest - beauty - superior) ... Andrew - Abigail - Agatha (warrior - father of exaltation - good). Classic, traditional, Disney characters, even flowers.
In the end Mom and Dad went with naming them after their Grandmothers version, Beatrice (she who brings happiness), Charmaine (charismatic and alluring personality), and Larissa (derived from either Larissa, a nymph in Greek mythology who was a daughter of Pelasgus, or from the name of the ancient city of Larissa in Greece which meant “citadel” or “fortress” in a now extinct Pre-Greek substrate language.)
They were named Beatrice, Larissa, and Charmaine because of their Grandmothers. Yes, biologically, the maximum number of grandmothers is two. One maternal grandmother, and one paternal grandmother. But in real families today you can certainty have more. After all families aren’t only biological. You can have step-grandparents if a parent remarries, their new spouse can be considered a grandmother. You can even have blended family, and adoptive grandparents. The Triplets themselves have always hated the names. Me and their friends just call them Bee, Lara, and Charri.
I’m Ricky Fontaine, Ricky to my friends. I was born four almost five years after my three older triplet sisters, Bee (Beatrice), Lara (Larissa), and Charri (Charmaine) were born on June, 12, 1988. I’m, for better or worse, because I was born latter, I’m their, “Little Brother”, I have even been called their, “Baby Brother”, with all that entails. Statistically speaking most triplets are either identical, or fraternal, but there are additional subtypes too.
The National Library of Medicine says that monozygotic, or identical, twins are conceived from one fertilized egg. This egg separates into two embryos after it has begun to divide. These two embryos develop into two babies. The genetic materials, called chromosomes, in both babies are identical. This is because both babies come from the same egg and sperm. For this reason, both children are assigned the same sex at birth and share the same genetic characteristics, such as eye and hair color.
More often than not, triplets are born with unique physical characteristics. Nonidentical triplets are generally known as fraternal triplets. The scientific term for fraternal triplets is “dizygotic” it refers to three fertilized eggs. Dizygotic triplets happen when the female releases three eggs at the same time, and three different sperm fertilize each egg. Since fraternal triplets are the result of different eggs and different sperm, they share the same percentage of chromosomes as any other siblings. The National Human Genome Research InstituteTrusted Source says that this is about 50 percent. This is why they don’t look exactly alike and can even be different sexes at birth.
There are also other rare cases such as conjoined twins, mirror twins, parasitic twins, and even twins with different ages. Once a female becomes pregnant, her body stops releasing new eggs for potential fertilization ... except in some rare cases. In these cases, a phenomenon known as superfetation, can occur. This is when a second egg gets released and is fertilized after the female is already pregnant. It’s also possible for them to be fertilized by sperm from two different males. In this case, both fertilized eggs will develop, but one twin will be slightly older than the other.
Still, because of differences in the environment ... the womb itself ... where they’re born, or created, or at least grow up in ... things like the amount of space each had in the womb, or how much nutriment they received ... identical triplets may have slight differences in appearance even different skin tones, it can happen in three different ways: #1. When parents are of different complexions, one of their fraternal twins may naturally resemble one parent, while the other twin looks more like the other parent. #2. In the rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation, the two non-birthing parents may have different skin tones. Each twin would then receive that person’s genetics. #3. When both parents are biracial, this usually results in twins that both look biracial. Occasionally, though, each twin may receive more genetic material from different ancestors than the other. This can lead to the triplets appearing to be from entirely different “races”.
I only bring all this up because even though my older triplet Sisters, the Triplets, maybe look like identical triplets, the same height, fair skinned, blue eyes, blond hair, and fantastic hourglass figures, they have totally different personalities. Well, they will tell you they have totally different personalities anyway. People of Nordic, Scandinavia, the Baltic states, and parts of northern Germany and Poland, descent tend to be tall, have fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes, much more commonly than people from other regions of the world.
I personally think my older Sisters look like Swedish actress Anita Ekberg, relatively tall for women, and well built, and in my sisters cases stacked. They are all 5 foot 6, maybe 120 pounds, with measurements of a fantastic 40E-24-36. And yes, when I was much older I sneaked into their rooms, yes, they insist on separate rooms, and peeped into their lingerie drawer. Their bra size is 40E, and no they don’t need, or use, any padding, or silicone falsies, as some of my own girlfriends do.
If you want to know how they got that amazing 24 inch waistline you need to know that they actually wear a Merry Widow corset. Yes, the secret to that wasp waist & hourglass silhouette is not just exercise it is also the good old tried-and-true lace-up corset. Think large full breasts, curvy hips, and an impossibly tiny wasp waist. I know that some people think of lace-up corsets as medieval torture devices, but corsets were and still are the in-fashion secret weapon worn by the Old Hollywood starlets and stars like Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe, Diana Dors, Jayne Mansfield, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, and even the iconic Playboy Bunnies.
The story goes that Playboy’s founder, Hugh Hefner, knew that he wanted his troupe of luscious cocktail waitresses to be in an easily identifiable distinctive uniform, ha, ha, ha, but he wasn’t initially sold on the idea of the bunny costume. According to Playboy’s former promotions director, Victor Lownes, Hefner originally envisioned the club’s staffers wearing short classy nightgowns. It was Lownes’ girlfriend at the time, actress Ilze Taurins, that suggested modeling the costumes off of Playboy’s cute cuddly bunny mascot.
Hefner, himself, said he had always thought of rabbits as male, but Lownes finally convinced Hefner to go with Taurins’ idea. Taurins’ mother, who worked as a seamstress in the major movie studios at the time, stitched together the original prototype for the bunny costume using a classic one-piece satin swimsuit layered over a Merry Widow corset. Naturally, a fluffy yarn bunny tail, and a headband with cute standup bunny ears, completed the ensemble. Hefner slightly altered the original design, by adding lace-up details on the hips of the corset and a higher cut around the thigh to accentuate the wearer’s legs.
The 1950s corset was quite different from the Victorian era corsets. In the Victorian time period, girls often started wearing corsets at a young age, and those corsets were extremely restrictive and laced so tight that women often reduced their waistline by several inches when they were, “done-up”. For example, in the movie Gone With the Wind, Miss Scarlett O’Hara makes a big fuss about holding onto the bedpost while her black maid servant, Mammy, laces up the corset for her. And again, after having a baby with Rhett, Scarlett wants her corset laced down to 18 inches. All of this is kind of nuts. I mean, tight-lacing is certainly possible, and some women have always been vain about their waist size, but this is extreme in my opinion.
Anyway, ‘modern’ 1950s corsets are much lighter and more flexible using aluminum staves instead of whale bone, and they help sculpt a woman’s body into the perfect hourglass silhouette while playing up women’s femininity. Rather than turning to impossibly strict diets, insane amounts of exercise, the “nip and tuck” of plastic surgery, or even drastic liposuction, women loaded up their closets with 1950s lingerie essentials. Their weapon of choice for that special occasion dress was a simple lace up corset. The Merry Widow corset is typically laced. It features adjustable lacing or hook-and-eye closures, allowing for a custom fit and comfort. This design provides both support and a flattering silhouette, making it a popular choice in vintage and modern fashion even today.
In a lot of ways we haven’t really moved past the Victorian time period (1831-1901), or Civil War (1861-65), with lace-up corsets as finely cultured instruments of feminine torture. Like Mammy helping Scarlett lace up her corset in the movie, Gone With the Wind, my triplet Sisters helped each other with their corset. Of course to an outsider observing them from a distance it might have appeared that they were fighting. It was not uncommon to see one triplet use an elbow punch to the stomach to knock the air out of her sister while the other triplet pulled the lace tight. In any case it was one of the Triplets helping the other Triplet lace up the other’s corset.
Even today the Triplets don’t get along that well together. Often, not always, their fighting, I could call it cat fights, is based on past experiences of the other being abusive, either physically, or emotionally, toward each other. More often than not, their complained of abuse is based on their irrational competition with each other. Yes, the easiest way to get a fight started today is to accuse one of being just like the other. Yes, there is actually an active competition to be different going on all the time with them.
After having to listen to so much of the Triplet’s constant bickering and fighting growing up with them I get bored with them. I’ve even thought for a long time that somebody needs to invent, or better yet, create a, “Time-out Triplet’s App”, to settle the serious disputes between my three sisters. But, in the end, ha, ha, I like to think it’s really their problem. I mean what’s the old saying? “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
Mother ... Mom ... says, I was still nursing on her at 4 almost 5 years old, and she says it’s a myth that the breasts dry up while a child is still nursing. As long as the child is nursing steadily the breasts continue to produce milk. In fact, the American Academy of Pediatrics supports extended breastfeeding for 3 or 4 years, or even beyond that. Breast feeding their baby promotes a powerful bond between mother and child.
Hey, as long as mother and child are comfortable with it, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and other pediatric associations, are fine with it, too. When I brought it up to Mom years latter, she admits that she had found nursing me, even at almost 5 years old, pleasant ... and relaxing ... in fact, she even called it relaxing, soothing, and stimulating. Yes, good old Mother Nature rewards the nursing mother with the release of oxytocin, often called the “bonding hormone,” which helps create a strong emotional connection between mother and baby.
She only weaned me then, she confessed, because my Father objected so strongly. She actually accuses him of, I quote her here: “ of throwing a fit”. At the time I was over 40 inches tall, and weighed about 40 pounds. Yes, at 48 months, 4 years old, I had hit all those so-called milestones of child development. I was walking up stairs, climbing on the furniture, running, kicking, and jumping, even using a cup and spoon to feed myself, and dressing myself. And yes, I was discovering the difference between boys, and girls, ha, ha.
My Father said, that me still nursing on Mom at that age was unseemly... “scandalous” ... of course, the word he used once when he got really mad and frustrated was “obscene” ... to have me at my age and size to actually crawl up onto Mom’s lap and demanding her ... Mom ... to take out her breast to feed me still at that age and size was “obscene”, he said. Yes, the changes in Mom and Dad’s marriage left Mom exhausted a lot of the time and made Dad jealous of me, the baby, I found.
Negative emotions don’t mean you don’t feel love, joy, and wonder. It all goes together, making the roller coaster of parenthood an unexpected ride. Jealousy is an instinct, and it doesn’t mean there’s hostility or a lack of love. It might seem like your partner lacks empathy, but they could be trying to adjust to the shift in your relationship, too. They probably feel like they’ve been pushed out of place and can’t see where they fit anymore.
Dad being jealous of me was because of the drastic life and relationship change. He was used to having alone time together with Mom to relax and bond, and now that time was not happening as often. Now, Mom’s life revolved around another human, and it was a big adjustment causing Dad decreased marital enjoyment. As a result it caused Dad to experience envy because things aren’t what they were before. Then add in the lack of sleep, and I guess it was natural for Dad to have some negative feelings about me.
Even when I was asleep Mom was still thinking about me, and they both remained tired and stressed out all the time. Sure breast feeding me promoted a powerful bond, but Dad felt useless during this time because I refused a bottle and he wasn’t the one lactating and feeding me. My nursing on Mom was a beautiful thing, but it made Dad progressively insecure and envious.
Yes, I was one of those babies that refused the bottle, and insisted that Mom breast feed me all the time. Yes, originally, Mom wanted to head back to work, and share the job of feeding me with a baby bottle with Dad, or another caregiver. Yes, she was just hoping for a little more flexibility and free time. She intended to introduce me to a bottle, because breastfeeding a baby can feel like a big milestone around your neck. But, sometimes your baby ... me in this case ... has other plans ... like flat-out refusing the bottle.
There are many experts like the, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, IBCLC, that will tell you that bottle refusal is common, and doesn’t mean you’ve done anything wrong. The most common reasons for bottle refusal in newborns has to do with flow rate, nipple shape and the way the bottle is introduced.
Of course, there is a fascinating twist on this latter on. At around three to four months, babies go from reflexively sucking bottles and nipples to making the choice to do it on their own. This is a really fun time, because all of a sudden, they aren’t required to suck, swallow and breathe because of their natural reflex. They now get to choose, and sometimes they choose that they don’t want the bottle.
Hey, I was one of those fussy babies that refused the bottle, but thank god my three older Sisters, the Triplets, positively loved the bottle. They were even old enough by then to help Mom with my feeding. In fact, you could say I took the place of their life size Betsey Wetey baby dolls made by the Ideal Toy Company.
Just for the record here, even without ever getting pregnant, women, any woman, even trans-men some doctors claim, can produce breast milk if their breasts are stimulated enough. Inducing lactation only requires stimulating and properly emptying the breasts. The stimulation can occur in 3 different ways: #1. With a breast pump. #2. With a nursing baby. or #3. By manual expression. Of course, there is also something called galactorrhea, and/or hyperprolactinemia.
It accrues in maybe 25% of all females between the age of 12 to 50 years old, during the peak childbearing years. The most common cause is a benign tumor on the pituitary gland at the base of the brain. The tumor causes the pituitary gland to make too much prolactin causing hyperprolactinemia. Prolactin is the hormone responsible for milk production after you give birth. Excess prolactin tricks the female body into thinking it is pregnant.
Anyway right after their births the Triplets became part of an ongoing Federal Triplet Study. Yes, they had weekly checkups, from doctors, psychiatrists, psychologist, and all kinds of other experts in the fields of human behavior and development. At around 2 years old my triplet Sisters were discovering gender ... what boys do ... what girls do ... and the differences. They were also in daycare and kindergarten programs and were being separated a lot.
In fact, I latter found out, by hacking into the study’s own computer records, that the governmental, the “Behavioral Think Tank People”, the professional head shirkers, the psychologists and psychiatrists, running the program anyway, thought that I, their younger Brother was developing too much control over my three older triplet Sisters. One part of the government research group argued that my seeming control was detrimental and unhealthy for the Triplet’s natural development, but another part of the Group, the Paranormal and Parapsychology people, the ESP people, along with their pet medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologist, and social-psychologist, wanted to let it play out and study it.
It seemed that me and the Triplets had some sort of psychic link, connection ... bond ... when we were all very young. If I stumped my big toe on the playground and cried, the Triplets somehow felt it and cried, too. Was it, telepathy? Empathy? They didn’t know, but it was wrong not to follow up on it the ESP, and Parapsychology people argued. The bottom line was we were separated a lot when we were older to study the connection if any. I also discovered that a lot in our files, yes, we each had a file that was above Top Secret, and my meager hacking skills couldn’t get into them.
The US Government uses three main classification levels, each tied to the potential damage unauthorized disclosure could cause to national security. #1. Confidential, #2. Secret, and #3. Top Secret. Then there is Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI), and Special Access Programs (SAPs). SCI is divided into compartments ... codeword programs ... requiring, a Top Secret clearance, SCI eligibility, and on a need-to-know basis for that specific compartment. There are basically three flavors of SAPs: Acknowledged SAP, Unacknowledged SAP, and Waived SAP. Our files were SCI/SAP.
Look the paranormal is a broad umbrella term for events, and/or experiences that seem to defy conventional scientific explanation. Think of “paranormal” as the category of unusual phenomena people report. It includes things like: ghosts and hauntings, UFOs and extraterrestrials, cryptids (Bigfoot, Mothman, etc.), psychic experiences, near-death experiences, time slips, or strange coincidences.
Parapsychology, on the other hand, is the attempted scientific study of certain types of paranormal claims ... specifically those involving the mind. It focuses on: ESP (extrasensory perception), telepathy (mind-to-mind communication), clairvoyance (perceiving distant or hidden information), precognition (perceiving future events), psychokinesis (mind influencing matter). Parapsychologists use controlled experiments, statistics, and psychological methods to test whether these abilities exist and how they might work.
We often mix the two because many paranormal claims involve the mind or consciousness. Parapsychology is sometimes portrayed in pop culture as “ghost hunting,” even though that’s not what the field actually studies. Both deal with experiences that feel mysterious or unexplained, but academically, parapsychology is much narrower and more methodical. Some will argue more Scientific.
Yes, Parapsychology is still considered a fringe science ... not fully accepted by mainstream psychology or neuroscience. Some experiments ... like the Ganzfeld telepathy studies ... show small, but significant, and intriguing statistical effects, though those intriguing effects are still being debated by the mainstream scientific community. Paranormal research outside the parapsychology lab is usually more observational and less controlled.
Consciousness is one of those topics where science, philosophy, and the “unexplained” brush right up against each other. It’s the place where the measurable world meets the deeply subjective one, and that boundary is exactly where things get interesting. Here’s a way to explore it without drifting into pseudoscience, but also without shutting the door entirely on the mystery. Science ... Scientists can describe neural activity associated with awareness. The brain regions involved in attention, memory, and self-reflection, and even the states of consciousness, sleep, dreaming, anesthesia, meditation.
But none of this fully explains the core puzzle: Why does subjective experience exist at all? Why is there a “YOU” behind your thoughts? This is often called the hard problem of consciousness. There are several areas where consciousness research bumps into the unknown:
#1. Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), the vivid awareness during cardiac arrest. Encounters with deceased relatives, or a sense of leaving the body. Some of these experiences occur when the brain appears to be inactive or severely impaired. That doesn’t prove anything supernatural, but it does challenge simple “brain = consciousness” models.
#2. PSI Phenomena (ESP, telepathy, etc.). Parapsychology tries to test whether consciousness can: Access information beyond the senses. Influence physical systems, and/or connect with other minds. The results they get are mixed and controversial, but the persistence of small statistical anomalies keeps the debate going.
#3. The Nature of the Self. Meditation research shows that the sense of “I” can dissolve or shift dramatically. This raises questions like: Is the self an illusion? Is consciousness more fundamental than the brain? Are we tapping into something larger than individual identity?
