AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story contains characters that I introduced several years ago in the "Cape Cod Summer" story. I believe this story mostly stands on its own, but some of the characters and their actions might mean more if you've read the other story. That story is currently "incomplete and inactive" according to ASSTR and StoriesOnline and for good reason. I've kind of gotten the writing bug again, though. I had planned to just set this out there as a single story in 'honor' of Columbus Day weekend, but it's grown bigger as I write. I hope this ends up only being two chapters and I hope to complete it soon. Hope springs eternal. If you go back and re-read the older story -- or decide to read just this one -- let me know what you think. I think most authors thrive on feedback. Thanks!
