When it was time to take the girls home, we all had tears in our eyes. Sleeping alone was going to be a bitch, now.
I know that Sherry and Mickey would be going to college in the fall and, of course, Joanie and I had two more years of high school.
When we arrived at the girls' house and went in, Mr. And Mrs. Greene were sitting and reading the paper. The girls were holding us and sniffling.
"Separating is hard to do now, isn't it?" asked Mr. Greene. I told him that I'd already decided that sleeping alone was going to be a bitch now.
Mrs. Greene slid over against her husband and winked at him. "Kids, you have shown surprising maturity in your relationships and managing your schoolwork as well. We know how hard it has been for you kids last week and this week, and have made a difficult decision. Provided Mickey's mom and John's parents agree, we will foot the bills for a two-bedroom furnished apartment for you kids, as long as you continue to show your current maturity and keep your grades up".
We all looked at them like they were aliens, not quite believing what he had just said. We looked at each other, and hugged our lovers and then hugged them.
We found the perfect apartment pretty much equidistant from all parents, school, and jobs. The best part is never sleeping alone again.
Our week Naked in School has been strange; Joanie and I went from being strangers on Monday to falling in love, making love, and arranging to live together by Sunday.
