Chapter 13

Four days past the 3-month deadline, twenty ships all flying the flag of the Kingdom of Farland. These were indeed an invading force. Four large warships, eight troop carriers, five cargo ships, two large barges carrying wagons and the royal galley flagship. They all made for the bay where the large barges ran aground, allowing the wagons to off-load and create temporary docks for the troop carriers to begin unloading troops. The cargo ships unloaded one at a time allowing all the horses to be unloaded.

Each troop ship carried 100 soldiers, the cargo ships each carried 60 horses and 20 soldiers to tend to the horses while at sea, the barges each carried eight wagons and 60 soldiers, the warships each carried 100 soldiers and all the officers, the galley carried 100 soldiers and the royal knights.

All total there were 1600 soldiers, 30 officers and 60 royal knights. They had 16 wagons carrying their supplies and 150 horses for soldiers to ride. Captain Dane was now General Marcus Dane in command of the entire force.

King Thadeus Griffen had gathered all his military forces and was staged to fight the invading forces. His numbers were just at 1000 strong. He had 100 mounted fighting men with 5 of those being his ruling nobles, giving him 5 groups of 20 mounted men. 100 archers and 100 X-bowmen, leaving 600 soldiers.

Less than half of his military had armor and that was only leather. About 25 total had chain armor and 2 of his rulers had breastplates, the other 3 just chain armor. Only 200 of the 600 had swords the rest were armed with axes or spears.

He was just about outnumbered 2 to 1.

A’Na-Ya was almost 100 years old just a teen by elf standards. She had been raped by the diplomat, Dane, Kronk and at least twice by each of the diplomat’s security detail. A’Na-Ya did not feel worthy to be with Keal or any of his men. However, Keal, Tia, Mia and all his men kept telling her that she was not at fault and had nothing to be ashamed about.

Keal ended up spanking her along with Mia before making love to all three of the ladies several nights in a row.

So, when it finally was determined that A’Na-ya was a Cleric and/or Healer she was quickly equipped to join the rest of the group as they prepared for the coming battle. When word came that the enemy forces were reaching the shore, Keal sent word for his army to meet at the battlefield.

Mia and A’Na-ya were introduced to the rest of Keal’s friends.

They already knew Tia, but she explained that she was a sorceress/barbarian/rogue, so she could track and live off the land anywhere and knew how to kill too many ways to count as well as use magic. Keope, was ½ Orc as his father was Orc and his mother human. Standing just shy of 7 feet and built like a bull, he was a paladin or holy knight. Raiffe a ½ elf ranger. BoJo is an ½ Ogre barbarian and only a foot taller than Keope and a lot thicker, basically he looked like a dwarf that was 2 times larger.

Mia was dressed in studded leather armor and carried two daggers and a hand X-bow that she cocked by pulling the hand grip back while holding the front of the X-bow. Then loading another dart, it was ready to fire again.
