Julia said, "Okay, with three groups - of sixteen - starting at once, I was thinking of trying to cover as much of the school as possible, to make it easier for news about how the pipeline works to spread. I was thinking of starting with a group of Carol's 8th grade friends, one group of 10th graders, and the last group of any other high-school grade. That'll take a bit more arranging initially, but it'll spread the information much wider than three 10th grade groups would."

I said, "That sound good to me. If we're going to be merging the groups later on, maybe the third group should be 9th graders, rather than 11th or 12th, so the age difference isn't too large. When I was out 'window-shopping' while you were choosing a bikini for Ava - which you haven't shown me yet, by the way - I met some 9th grade girls..." I went on to tell them about Felicity and the others.

Julia asked, "Would Felicity be suitable as a Liaison for you Mark? Pretty and motivated enough?"

"Umm, I guess so. I was vaguely thinking of arranging another get together with that group sometime, telling them what was involved in being a Liaison, then asking for a volunteer. I was thinking I'd probably pick Felicity if I had a choice, but I'm not insisting on it. For all I know she's saving herself for marriage, which wouldn't be a good attitude for a Liaison."

Pat giggled, and made a couple of small up and down motions on my cock. "She'd be missing out on one of the best parts of being a Liaison."

"Only ONE of the best parts! What part of me is better?"

"Haha. If I said 'no part was better', you could tease me about that too! I was thinking that the sex is a VERY good part, but so is being involved. This is very interesting. Seeing how the pipeline idea works, and how all the other girls will react to it, and being in the middle of all of it myself. I'm enjoying all these things."

Julia agreed, "Yeah, I'm loving it too." [[Julia was LOVING it, and was looking forward to it getting even better! She was controlling access to something half the girls in school wanted a shot at: me. Never had Julia had so much power, and been seen to have it. Julia's ego loved it. That might have had something to do with why she'd chosen to implement what would be such a high profile process. Her creations of an ego-boosting situation was actually a good idea, because that's what my ego very much needed.]]

-- "I'll edit the website's documents to reflect what we agree on here. I'll try to make sure I finish it by Monday morning. Monday's lunch is already allocated to something else I want to do. With pens and paper, remember Mark?" I remembered that it'd be quiz about me, so I nodded. "The pipeline will take a week to get going, because the girls will need time to decide on and prepare their dates, so we'll go ahead with Monday's little plan as is. It'll give you some girls to play with until the pipeline starts up, and it should wake some of the girls up to the necessity of focusing on you.

-- To the others, Julia explained, "Mark's unavailable all day Tuesday because he'll be at college." That was only partially true. I WILL be unavailable all Tuesday, but not because I'll be at college; not unless they have a high-stakes roulette table at OSU. I liked Julia's cover story, and made a mental note to make sure I used it myself.

-- "We'll make Wednesday lunchtime a BIG lunch gathering. Get every high-school girl we can to meet at lunchtime, so we can talk about the pipeline idea. I'll put a note to that effect on the website too. There are bound to be many questions and I don't want to repeat the answers dozens of times. On Wednesday we'll tell the girls to start putting themselves into groups. We'll get them to meet us in their groups at Friday's lunch so we can choose which groups are in the first intake and tell them when their dates will be.

-- "That leaves Thursday's lunch. Normally that would've been another Duckling lunch, but starting the pipeline scheme might change that. The Ducklings are your project, so what do you want to do, Mark?"

I doubted Lily and Pat understood much about the Ducklings being my project, but I didn't bother explaining it. Instead I said, "I've been thinking about that since you mentioned that there'd be three groups in the first intake, one of which would be from among Carol's friends. I don't mean any disrespect to Carol, but I find it hard to imagine how it could be possible for an 8th grader to be one of my girlfriends, let alone a 6th grade Duckling. Their pipeline dates will probably have to be during the daytime because their parents won't let them stay out at night. And let's say we get through several dates and the best 14-year old emerges out of the end of the pipeline, what do I do with her then? She wouldn't be able to hang out with us because she's too young.

-- "I very much enjoy spending time with Carol, but it's a heck of a lot easier to obtain consent for a 'date' from Carol's parents than it would be from some other 8th grader's parents. Carol's parents are reasonably sure I don't have any ulterior motives, haha. The only way one of Carol's classmates could come over regularly would be if she lied to her parents, telling them she was visiting Carol. Doing that from time to time is no big deal, but frequently would be a pain, and it'd probably fail sooner or later. Asking Mom to back up those lies wouldn't be something I'd like to do either. Vanessa is a lot more flexible in that respect."

Julia responded to that, "That's because Mom's got a VERY clear idea of the big picture. Your mom is busy focusing on being your mom..."

"I meant no disrespect to Vanessa, Julia. I have NOTHING but respect for your mom! My point is that I can't think of a way of treating a girl that age as a real girlfriend. Even in the unlikely chance that she's mature enough, her parents aren't going to allow it, not unless they are unbelievably relaxed about what she gets up to. That's so unlikely I'm not going to give it any chance of coinciding with a girl I'd like to date. If I can't treat 8th graders - or younger girls - as real girlfriends, then it'd be cruel to lead them on with that bait. All we could possibly do is occasionally have fun together. Fun for fun's sake, with no other objective in mind. In other words, middle-school girls probably don't belong as part of the pipeline process. If we had our own house, like I'm vaguely researching, I'd enjoy having a group of Carol's or Donna's friends visit every now and then - once a month say, but that's the best we can do with them. I'm sorry Carol. I hope that's okay with you?"

Carol answered, "Was that whole speech just to stop me being upset?"

"Umm. I guess so. To explain why I thought it wouldn't work. Not that the girls are necessarily too young themselves, but because their parents won't let them..."

"Haha. Stop it, Mark. You don't have to add even more explanation. All you had to say was you don't want a girlfriend that young. They all know they're too young for you. They know they're going to lose in any sort of competition with high-school girls, so they'll be relieved not to be part of the pipeline system. They'll be happy if a group of them can visit with you from time to time."

Julia said, "Not having 8th graders makes it easy; no middle-school girls, only high-school or older. I think 9th graders are old enough to include in the pipeline, don't you, Mark?"

"They're the same age as I am, so from that point of view they're certainly old enough. But practically, especially with regard to their parents, they're questionable. I can't see their parents letting them sleep with me! And even letting me pick them up in a car for an evening date might mean I have to sit through an interrogation. As you said a day or two ago - when you were talking about someone else - I have to tell the truth in such circumstances because there's too much chance the parents will know someone who knows about my lifestyle. I can't imagine a 9th grade girl's parents are going to be too happy letting their little girl go out with someone who has as many lovers as I do.

-- "I don't mind including 9th graders though, mainly because I don't think it'll make much difference. Carol and Donna could drum up a lot of interest in me in their classes, so there could be several groups involved. But in the 9th grade there's probably only going to be one group at the most, and it probably won't have the full number of girls in it, so including them will only require two or three dates before they're merged with another group. That's not worth worrying about."

"You really are charmingly naïve."

"Ahh, thank you. What have I got wrong this time?"

"There'll mostly likely be three full groups from the 9th grade, but let's not worry about that now. Regardless of grade, if any girl is too parentally restrained, red-card her. It may not be her fault, but she's not practical as a girlfriend so she's eliminated. So we've agreed the pipeline is for high-school girls. If some girls even older than that want to form a group and enter the pipeline, that would be fine too.

-- "Do you want to keep Thursday's lunch with the Ducklings?" Donna's attention jumped up at that.

"I think so. There's no pressing need for me to have lunch in the high school is there?"

"Not really. If there are more questions, the Liaisons and I can answer them."

Better than I could, I was sure. I said, "I'll have lunch with the Ducklings then. Things might get messy later, so I'd better do that while I can."

"Good," agreed Donna, a person of fewer words than her brother.

Carol asked, "I was wondering what I could tell my classmates about the pipeline, especially because next year they'll be in high school so they'll be eligible for it. Will you still be using it then?"

I looked at Julia for the answer, because Julia knows what I'm going to be doing better than I do. Julia answered, "You can tell them everything about it. The pipeline will be operating all summer, and I see no reason why it shouldn't carry on next school year. They'll be your new 9th graders, plus I'm sure there'll be many girls who don't put themselves forward this year who'll regret it and want to try next year..."

I asked, "Will it be operating all summer? With the middle-school girls removed from the process, won't your 300 estimate drop significantly? Three groups of sixteen every intake means about 100 girls per month. If we start next week, we'll run out well before the end of summer, especially because we can get more dates done over summer."

"There's no downside to running out of girls to feed into the pipeline, Mark. That'll simply mean you won't be working your methodical way through dates with comparative strangers. There'll still be dozens of girls who'll come running if you call them for a date, not to mention the girls in this room! Having an empty pipeline just gives you more flexibility in your dating. Toward the end of summer you should have plenty of girls who'll be well trained and eager to respond to your requests, so if you want a date with one girl, or with twenty, it should be simple to arrange. If some of the girls aren't supposed to date you, according to the rules of the pipeline process, then so what? It'll be made clear right from the beginning that you can rearrange things however you want.

-- "My main concern is having too many girls. You're right that taking middle school out of the system reduces the number, but 300 was only a guess to start with. You could still end up with 300, or even more. There are nearly 1400 kids in our high school, so 700 girls. If you are VERY clear and brutal about ONLY accepting girls who're in the top third by attractiveness, that's roughly 200. Assuming only half of those want to try for you, that'd be 100. But - and it's a big 'but' - I can't guess how many girls will come from elsewhere. There are about three times more high-school kids in Corvallis than go to our school. I guessed there'll be some girls from those schools who want to try for you, but I can't guess how many because I don't know what your reputation is like in other schools. Plus there are college and working girls. If word of your desirability and availability does get out widely, you could end up with 300 or more girls. Excess girls are even worse than they seem, because 50% of them would be yellow-carded and would get to go around again, so they add one and a half times over.

-- "More than 300 girls would be a problem we'd have to solve. I'd expect that'd be too many for you to take through the pipeline because you'd get tired of the whole thing. We'd probably have to set up some pre-screening process, but we can wait to see how it works out before worrying about that. I will point out that you have to be MERCILESS on unattractive girls, or you'll be swamped in them. My guess of 100 girls from our school could easily increase to 400 if you don't stop even the average-looking girls at the outset. Plus another 400 from the other schools probably. You can't date a thousand girls!"

I said, "I get your point, Julia, excessive though I think it is. The pipeline numbers - not to mention my life - turn into a disaster if I don't get that message out there. Speaking of numbers, your command of them and having the statistics for school sizes is very impressive. You must have gone to a lot of effort to get that information."

"Oh yes," agreed Julia. "It must have taken me one, or maybe even two whole minutes, haha. I googled it, Mark. You need to do that more yourself, so you learn to appreciate its usefulness. The pipeline system is very mathematical, so I've had to think about it in those terms. Who'd have thought math would have some use in the real world!" Seeing the start of my reaction, Julia interrupted, "I'm teasing you! My father's a mathematician, so of course I know it's useful. His salary pays for my clothes, and you can't get more useful than that, haha.

-- "Let me get back to answering Carol's question about the pipeline next year. Yes, Carol, I think it'll almost certainly operate. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't. There'll be the new 9th grade girls plus the girls who were too slow this year or want to try again.

-- "Because we'll have nine months of school next year, I might rearrange things so it spreads out longer. Less dates per week, for more weeks, for instance. It might also be a good idea to let this year's yellow-carded girls have another try next school year. Some of them might do much better then. Maybe some of the red-carded girls should be allowed another try too, like the girls who had parental problems this year, or the girls who were red-carded simply because I forced Mark to make half the eliminations red. We definitely wouldn't want all the red-carded girls to retry though - not the ones who behaved appallingly. Maybe we need to have an orange card. It'll count as a red card for this year, but will let them start afresh next year. It sounds excessive to have three colors, but it's easy enough to explain and understand. I'll add that to the website too. Do you understand the use of orange cards, Mark?"

"I think so. You said before that you wanted at least half the eliminations to be red, so the girls wouldn't go around again. So now I guess at least half the eliminations have to be red or orange. In other words, yellow has to be less than half the eliminations. I use a red card on a girl I never want to date again; and an orange card if I don't particularly have anything against the girl, which will probably be the girls who were too quiet during a date. Correct?"

"Exactly right. Three different elimination meanings does sound excessive, but they're simple so I'm sure the girls will quickly understand the differences. I still recommend that you red-card as many girls as you can. Next year you'll be even more popular, and you'll have more than the one and a half core girlfriends you have now, so you won't want to be so busy with the pipeline. A girl that's marginal this year isn't likely be wonderful next year, so you'd be better off red-carding her rather than using an orange."

"Okay. I have a couple of questions about the system. First, a girl who's yellow-carded gets one more try between now and when school restarts next school year. If she fails on her retry, what color card do I give her? It changes how I can eliminate other girls at the time. You said less than half the eliminations can be yellow, so if second yellows are actually orange, then I can yellow more of the other girls from that date. Do you understand?"

"Sure. It'll be easier for me if we record the second yellow as an orange, so let's do it that way. I'm going to have to set up a simple database of girls' names and statuses, and it'd be simpler to use "R", "O" or "Y" rather than having to worry about whether they've received one or two yellows."

"Oh, that sounds like a lot of work for you?"

"The way Lily has set up the website it's quite simple." Julia gave Lily a smile of appreciation.

Lily replied, "I just translate. Hardest part was tell him make it simple. He wanted too clever."

"I didn't follow some of that. Did someone else do it?"

Julia explained, "One of Lily's father's programmers in Hong Kong did all the computer work. It's hosted on one of their computers, so it was easy. I told Lily what I wanted and she told the programmer. He's used to doing business sites, so it took him a while to understand how simple I wanted this site to be."

"But wouldn't that have been expensive, with all the telephone calls back and forth to Hong Kong?"

Lily answered, "No, we use Skype."

"Oh, that's good. Just one question, what's 'skipe'?"

Julia laughed, "We really do have to bring you into the 21st century, Mark. It's using the internet for free telephone calls. Computer to computer for free."

"Even to Hong Kong?"

"Yeah. Anywhere they have computers and the internet. I'll show you next time we're in the study."

"You've got it too?"

"Sure. You said you had two questions. What was the other one?"

"Umm, I was thinking about how I would've allocated cards to the girls after the last date group date I had, last Sunday's bowling/pizza/hot tub party. There were only two or three girls that I could've given red cards to: Laci for taking too much time at the end, and a couple for being far too prissy about sex. There were half a dozen girls who did well. Top of that list is Chloe for giving me her pizza, haha. And there were other helpful ones: Savannah, Alexis and Eileen come to mind. I could probably dredge up a couple more, making half a dozen. Six good girls and three bad girls leaves sixteen 'nothing' girls - about two-thirds. From the other group experiences I've had, two-thirds of the girls doing nothing sounds about right. How can I allocate cards when I've got so little to go on? It seems to me that the shy girls are going to be eliminated. They might be perfectly nice, pleasant girls, but too shy to push themselves forward."
