Chapter 21

-Leon-

Fang and Shadow found Leon outside Hope's house. His tears falling freely two days after leaving the hospital.

Leon wanted to tell the wolves that hope was fine, but he could barely hear her thoughts, couldn't any longer feel her emotions. Since that burst of power at the hospital, Leon's usually bright gold aura had dimmed, becoming almost nonexistent.

Leon looked at his old friends with distain having almost lost faith in himself, almost lost control of his own emotions. He had just spoke to Hope's mother who, even though she didn't blame Leon, still stated it was too painful to even discuss things with him, shooing him away even before he had the chance to tell her mom how he felt for hope and vow to find her.

Fang and Shadow had Leon follow them, Leon taught them his new abilities, as he learned more control over his own. 2 weeks passed. Leon's Mom and Dad finally understood Leon's powers as he had demonstrated them. Leon had the power to read minds, feel emotion, heal, harm, and the power to move objects with his mind. He had their express permission to find Hope "at all costs".

On a secret military base life has become hell for any who tried to control hope, she taught herself to not only control electricity she had honed her ability to move matter so well with her mind that she can remove the tranquilizer from a dart as its flying through the air, or stop a dart in midflight and turn it on the person shooting it.

The only reason she hasn't attempted to escape yet is because she feared she couldn't control bullets as well. She wanted to hone her ability more first.

In the office in the military instillation a very unhappy general was pacing back and forth everything was spiraling out of control. His operative in Reading Pa failed, and had to be dealt with permanently. There is no failure in his mind, only success or death. But even worse the experiments no longer feared them. The subject 7117 also known as Hope was causing one hell of an uproar. She would need to be exterminated.
