Sometime that evening, shortly after Judy got home from work, Seven showed up with a request. "Jase, there is a situation developing that needs your attention, but it will really need two people for safety's sake. Do you think that Judy would be interested in joining the Galactic PD, and would you be willing to work with her as your partner?"

"I have no idea whether or not she would be interested, but I certainly would have no objection to working with her. You will have to ask her if she wants to join."

"OK, I will. Where is she?"

"Let's go talk to her. I'll ask her before the kids show up."

They went into the kitchen to talk to Judy.

"Judy, I have a request for you from the Galactic Council. There is a job shaping up for Jase where he will need some backup. Are you willing to take the training and join him as an agent for the Galactic PD? You already know the advantages and disadvantages of the job."

Judy ask Jase, "Do you want me to join you? I will do it only if you want me to."

"Judy, I would love to have you join me. I can't think of anyone I would trust more to guard my back. Please say yes."

"OK, Seven, I'll do it. Do I need to come now, or should I finish fixing supper, first?"

"It would be easier for us if you stomach is empty. We can go now and be back in a subjective few seconds. No one will ever miss you."

"OK, let's go now. Is Jase coming along? "

"He can if he wants to, but I don't recommend it. He'll be bored to death, and you won't know the difference."

Jase blinked his eyes and they were back. "Boy, that was quite an experience. Seven was right about you being bored if you had come along. I'll also get the knowledge file dumped in on the same trip. I can hardly wait."

Seven said, "I'll leave you now. I have some other things to look into. Good night."

Seven left and Judy asked, "Are you still going to introduce Ann to active sex tonight?"

"Yes, if she still wants it. Why do you ask?"

After they had eaten and talked about their day, Judy said, "I'll ask you men to clean up. I have something I need to talk to Ann about in privacy."

Jeff said, "OK, Mom, Jase and I will take care of it."

The two boys cleaned up and then went into the living room to watch a baseball game on TV until the women came back. Jase was muttering, "Damn, can't anybody beat the Yankees? I thought the Red Sox had them that time!" as the women came into the room.

Ann looked a little scared and Judy nodded slightly to Jase as they came in. Jase stood up and walked over to take Ann's hand. "Is our date still on?"

Jeff was taken aback by the intensity in his mother's voice. "OK, Mom, I'll be quiet. I was just curious."
