Chapter 6: Relationships with the Junior Geishas

It was ironic that the American Girl Scouts' plane had landed on an island occupied by the Japanese, instead of a nearby island where there were American commandos. Similarly it was ironic that the Japanese Junior Geishas had their boat land on an island occupied by American commandos, instead of a nearby island occupied by Japanese troops. It sort of forced a cultural and sexual exchange between the men and the girls, in the middle of a war.

On their island the American Commandos and the Junior Geisha girls shared quarters in the hidden cave together. Corporal Livingston conducted classes in English for the girls and in Japanese for the men, and they all learned to communicate with one another.

Sometimes the girls would entertain the men, dancing in their yukatas tied with obis, with their hair done up in Geisha style. Eriko would play her samisen as the girls danced gracefully. Eriko danced too, with Yukie playing the samisen while Eriko danced. The American men enjoyed seeing the girls perform these traditional dances but they really liked something a bit more spirited.

Livingston consulted with Eriko, and they decided to come up with something different. He used some dried coconut shells with sticks as drums, and some of the girls practiced keeping a beat as he instructed them. Reika turned out to be the best drummer. He played an old Burlesque song on the samisen as he demonstrated, with Reika banging out the bumps with the drums.

He told the girls that this was an American piece that Burlesque dancers sometimes danced to, doing bumps and grinds, and gradually stripping off their clothes. The girls thought that was awfully naughty and they asked if all American girls did such dances. Livingston said that only very naughty girls did such dances, and in halls where men paid money to see them perform. He said that they didn't have to do this if they didn't want to. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

But then Akiko volunteered to try it. She was always ready to do naughty things. So he taught the young girl how to do bumps and grinds, wriggling her hips about. Her choreography combined the best of both styles of dancing.

The men knew what the music was but they had never heard it played Japanese style. Akiko got in the middle of them as they sat in a circle around her. Livingston started his weird version of the song played on the samisen, with Reika on the coconut drums.

Akiko danced in her yukata and at first it looked much like the dancing they had seen before. But then when the girl lost the robe and danced about in her panties, doing bumps and grinds, the men started cheering her on, clapping their hands. She finished by pulling down her panties and mooning them, turning around and repeating that for those on the other side of the circle. She had her samisen with her and she sometimes played it for everybody. Livingston had learned to play the instrument himself as a boy in Japan. Eriko liked him too. He had grown up in Japan and he spoke Japanese well, and he appreciated the customs of the Japanese. She considered him the most civilized of all the Americans.

He always made sweet love to her, seeking to pleasure her, and enjoying it when he brought her to orgasm. She had never known a more thoughtful lover and she sought to please him too. Because she was such a beauty other men often asked her to have sex with them and she did, honoring the Geisha tradition. But gradually it became apparent that her heart belonged to Livingston, and the other men backed off then.

Private Bronski quickly learned to behave better, and he no longer abused the girls so much. He sampled all of them from time to time but gradually he found himself drawn more to Yukie. He was a strong man and she seemed to like that about him. She was quite pretty too and so once he saw that she was interested in him, he became more interested in her.

She was a graceful girl yet she could get down and dirty sometimes. She even liked to roughhouse with him a little and he liked that about her. Private Hayes sampled all of the girls. He liked several of them including Marika. As time passed he saw that some of the girls were becoming more exclusive to some of the other men.

Hayes began spending more time with Marika, trying to please her, and she saw that he really liked her. So she began to like him better too. They grew closer together and soon they became known as a couple.

Private Jones also played the field like Hayes did. One of the girls he liked was Reika. He too saw that the other men were pairing off with the girls, and that he better get with it or get left out. So he spent more time with Reika and he let her know that he liked her. She was not so taken with him at first but as he persisted, seeking to please her, she got to liking him better. In time they grew closer and became a couple.

Private Greenberg really liked little Akiko. She was a dainty little girl but full of mischief. He tried other girls but none of them were so delightfully playful as Akiko. The girl liked sex and at one time or another all of the men fucked with her. Still she too found herself drawn more to Greenberg.

He was inventive, as she was, and he did sexy things with her that other men never even considered. In time she came to realize that she hurt Greenberg when she came on to other men, and so she began to distance herself from the others and to keep herself for Greenberg. Chapter 7: Relationships with the Girl Scouts

The Japanese soldiers were compelled by their commander to apologize to the American girls for having raped them. Lieutenant Sadaki told the men that they were fortunate to have such cute girls living with them and they needed to treat the girls more kindly. He made room for the girls so that they lived in the Japanese encampment with the men.

They took on chores such as cooking and cleaning house, and washing the Japs' clothes to earn their keep. Before long they could all manage to carry on conversations in a mixture of broken Japanese and English.
