In my last year in college something happened that started the change of my lifetime. I started getting serious headaches; the kind that hurt so bad that your vision got blurry. I ignored them at first and concentrated on my classes. That was a mistake, I admit. They got so bad that I was bed ridden for a while.
Finally I went to the hospital. I found out something horrifying. I had brain tumors. The largest one was imbedded in my brain so deeply that it was inoperable. They said that I could die of the damned thing if they operated. So I was stuck. I could either die a slow and miserable death or I could die in surgery while I was knocked out. If I was going to die I wanted to do it quick so I scheduled the surgery.
That brings us up to the night my life changed irrevocably. I had lain down in my own bed that night with my head throbbing, dreading the next day when I went into surgery. I dropped off to sleep pretty easily considering how much pain I was in. It was this night that I thought that I was dreaming. It had to be a dream because nothing else could explain it.
I was in a straight back metal chair, in a room that looked like it had walls made out of steel. There were no doors or windows. What made me think I was dreaming was the fact that I had no more headache. I was completely pain free for the first time in a year. I actually pinched myself hard to see if I was dreaming and going by how much it hurt I was slowly coming to the realization that I was not.
It was just then that something amazing happened. The wall in front of me began to slowly dematerialize. I knew for a fact that nothing on earth had this type of technology. It was then that I started to wonder where the fuck I was. If nothing on earth had that technology, just where the hell was I? Then something happened that really freaked me out.
In walked a man that was at least nine feet tall. I call him a man but he only looked that way in his body. His head told me that what I was looking at was no man I had ever seen. He had three eyes and a very, very small mouth. Other than that, he had normal blonde hair. I tried to keep my cool but it was hard. I was sitting in front of a genuine alien.
<Calm yourself, human. I have no wish to harm you, > I heard inside my head. Let me tell you, it did nothing to calm me. But I tried real hard. My mind was racing. I had a thousand questions for this being and to show I was very weird, I wanted to ask him if he could teach me to make an A.I. I know, I'm very obsessed. I've always wanted to make one. I can't help it.
The alien had the nerve to laugh at me.
<I will give you the knowledge, human. But first we have things to discuss. In return for curing you of your brain tumors my people need you to help with an experiment.>
"You cured my brain tumors?" I asked him excitedly.
<Yes, we cured them when you arrived. However, if you do not help us with the experiment we will have to give you back your sickness.> He actually sounded apologetic. He even looked sad in the eyes when he said it. I hoped this was a sign that we could get along.
"What kind of experiment are we talking about?" I asked, almost fearing the answer. I had visions of horrible things. Things like being cut open to see how an earthling ticked. I think I watched too many Sci-Fi movies.
<We wish to send you to the past. The year will be 2006. You will have the body of a twelve year old. In fact you will be replacing a twelve year old boy that was in a coma. We will just replace you with him in the hospital bed. Before you go and get angry, the boy is brain dead. There is no hope for him. Both of his parents are dead and the left the boy with a very sizable nest egg.>
I was shocked. I couldn't believe what the alien was saying to me. 2006? It was 2145 when I went to sleep. He was going to send me back to an age that seemed archaic to me. Oh well. I guess I had to do it. In fact, I was very curious about it. We were talking time travel. Who wouldn't be curious in my position? Plus he said that he would give me the knowledge for A.I. That was always a plus. I know, I'm obsessed.
"What will happen to the time line if I interfered with it?" I asked. I didn't want to be in a position where I fucked up and created a situation that wouldn't allow me to be born. That would suck big time.
<Think of this as an alternate dimension where everything is the same. You will not mess up the future because it has not happened yet. You should do as you please and live your life well. That is what the experiment focuses on—how to live your life.>
"Why would you want to know about that?" I asked. They had the power to do whatever they wanted. Why would they want to watch me live my life?
<That is classified.> He said it in such an abrupt tone that I knew I wouldn't get the answers. <However, we have the technology to help you while you are in the past. We also have a machine that will school you in our technology. If you agree to the experiment you will have the knowledge of how to create our technology. This will help you greatly in your lifetime.>
Well shit. That just about blew my mind. I was really starting to warm to the subject of going to the past. I knew with my current knowledge of computers and Bio-chemistry that I could make a fortune. "All right, I'm in. Is there anything else I need to know? And can I have some of your technology while I'm in the past?"
The alien actually smiled at me. <After you arrive, and everyone knows that you are awake from your coma, it would probably be best if you claimed amnesia. As for the technology, when you get a residence, we will set you up a computer in your bedroom that looks like it belongs in that age but is anything but. You can use it to control the hundred replicaters that we have given you.>
<There is something else that you should know. You will be an orphan when you awake, so you will have to make do. Now, if you do not have anything else that you wish to discuss, I suggest you sit back and let us put you to sleep. You will awake in the hospital.>
<However, before you do that, there is something that you should know. We are going to give you the ability of what is called a Psionic. That means that you will have the ability to read and control minds. Use it how ever you wish, we do not judge.>
<However, there is an organization there on earth that is filled with Psionics. They are like a school. One of the nurses at the hospital went there to learn, she will scan you when you awake and will know the truth. If I was you I would go along with her and listen to what she has to say.>
I was totally blown away. Psionics? Mind Control? It was like I was living in a dream. I knew I was going to take the alien's advice and go to the school to learn as much as I can about being a Psionic. Learning how to control people's minds was just too good to pass up.
"What is your name?"
<Braccat.>
After I finally learned the alien's name I leaned back to wait for them to put me back to sleep. I briefly wondered why I was so calm and trusting. I knew that it couldn't be natural. But the only other thing that I could think of was that Braccat had a way of controlling emotions. The thought didn't bother me too much, but it did annoy me a little. With nothing else to do, I sit back and waited to go to sleep.
I was out like a light in seconds.
My eyes shot open and I looked at the white ceiling with florescent lights above me. I heard a beeping sound and looked over to what must have been a heart monitor. It beat steadily with my heart. To me, I was looking at a genuine antique. That type of monitor had been out of service for years. It was dawning on me that I was actually in the past. It was a pretty freaky notion. I was also reveling in the fact that my head no longer hurt.
The thing that I really reveled in was the fact that I had so much more information swirling around in my head. I knew how to create and A.I.! I also knew how to create machines that would boggle a normal persons mind. It was an incredible feeling to have this much new knowledge floating around in my head. To top it all off, if I was going to use the knowledge here in the past, I was going to be mega rich.
I still didn't know my name in this new age and that was bugging me. I sat up in the bed, careful with the wires attached to me, and reached for the chart that was on a small table beside the bed. Ah. Michael West. My name was Michael. I could live with that, especially since it was my original name too.
It was about this time that a nurse rushed in and stopped dead still when she saw me sitting up in bed. Her eyes went a little wide and she turned around and rushed back out of the room. I guess she wasn't expecting me to be awake. God, I hated everything that was attached to me, especially the catheter. I was going to get a nurse to pull that vile thing out of me as soon as possible.
I decided to lean back in bed and wait for the doctor to show up. I was feeling great. In fact I don't thing that I ever felt this good. It felt like I was just full of energy. It felt like I drank ten pots of coffee, actually. I didn't know what to do with all of the energy I had. I knew that it couldn't be natural. It had to be the work of Braccat. Not that I was complaining.
"Ah, I see that you're awake. This is good, very good." A voice startled me out of my thoughts.
I looked to the left and saw a man that was about in his mid sixties standing by my bed. He was wearing a white doctor's jacket and a stethoscope, so I assumed he was a doctor. He was looking at me with kind blue eyes. He seemed to have a cheerful attitude and I liked him almost at once.
"Now son, can you tell me your name?"
I decided that I should take the aliens' advice and play stupid. "No sir, I don't know."
"You can't remember?"
"I can't remember anything."
The doctor frowned and looked back at the chart, marking something on it. "Don't worry son, I'm sure it will come back." He told me with what looked to be a cheerful grin. But even I could see that it was a bit forced.
After that he basically gave me to what amounted to a physical while lying in bed. He seemed pretty amazed by my muscle tone and reflexes. In fact he seemed down right confused by how on earth I could have such great muscle tone after lying in bed for so long. He did act happy for me though and when I asked if I could please have the catheter removed he put on a pair of gloves and removed it himself, along with other wires.
While he removed it I watched and came to one conclusion. I had a monster dick for a twelve year old. It had to be at least seven inches long soft, with very respectable thickness. I thought about all the years I was in college and got a little sad. I had never once gone out with a girl my age. Never once have I ever got laid. I made a decision then and there to do something about it.
I also decided something else. Now was as good a time as any to try out the ability Braccat told me about. With deep concentration I thought about my mind reaching out and touching the doctors thoughts. It startled me that it actually worked. After all, I was just guessing on how it worked. The doctor's mind was a wash of confusion. He just could not understand how I was doing so well. But he was happy that I was doing well.
Finally the doctor finished his physical on me and left the room, telling me to try and remember something. Fat chance of that happening, but I didn't tell him that. It was then that a beautiful woman in a nurse's outfit came in. She had long black hair and eyes so blue that they reminded me of the sky. She also had a killer body that literally made my dick twitch.
