Watching all the Facebook reels showing daring and risky cliff dives by late teens and early twenty guys reminded me of something that happened to me many years ago. I was seventeen and it was mid summer. Every day we hung out at a lake not far from home.

A rather steep hike along the shore brought you to the top of a hill overlooking the lake.
