Sunrise was approaching as Lisa-Marie staggered pass the ominous wall of greenery of the jungle path, as she listened to the soft flap-whap of bird wings, and in the distance, another sound, a woodsy kind of crunching noise, not immediately recognisable.
What ever it was it was big, moving through the forest in her direction.
A very large branch loudly crashed to the woods floor about 20 yards to her right. Somewhat startled, after a moment standing in the path watching to the right, Lisa-Marie started forward again, stepping on moss and leaves. The spaced trees provided much light down to her, but she did not look back. Less than 30 yards behind Lisa-Marie, three black Apes stalked her silently.
With ease squeezing their bodies between trees and brush their eyes drank in the sexy figure before them.
A blood-chilling scream split through the soft buzz of the other sounds like a cleaver through her skull. She jerked back, startled, and swivelled her head back and forth, trying to locate the source of the terrifying shriek.
Lisa-Marie couldnt see anything, but that didnt matter, her basic human instincts took over when confronted by the scary and unknown: Run, Hide.
There was no cover on the trail - only in the trees, and if the trees concealed danger, the thick underbrush might also provide a hiding place and safety from that same danger.
She reached the tree line with a few long, lunging strides and didnt slow at all as she crashed through into the underbrush. The instant shift from the bright sunshine of the trail to the shadowy green dimness of the forest momentarily disoriented Lisa-Marie, but she recovered quickly as her eyes adjusted. Lisa-Marie still couldnt see much, though every shadowed movement, even the wind through the leaves, raised her anxiety level an other notch. Her nose didnt tell her anything useful at all. Her surroundings smelled like any other old growth forest choked with rotting mulch and flourishing undergrowth.
Her breasts were bouncing painfully, there was only so much support a bra can give them. The adrenaline surge of terror pumped her nipples to stone hardness and they stood out now nearly an inch, tenting the material of her blouse outwards.
Lisa-Marie froze for an instant, straining hard, listening intently. There were no more screams, but... yes! It took some effort to sort it out from the back ground noises of birds and breeze rustled leaves, but it was there; in the distance somewhere but growing closer. The muffled clamour seemed to be loudest off to her right. That made her decision easy. Lisa-Marie crossed her arms over her head, hoping to protect her eyes, and began to thrust through the packed shrubbery toward her left.
Stinging nettles, ripping thorns, and whip like branches battered her body as she thrashed along, that made her wild dash a painful trail of fear and frustration. It was one of those nightmares where you run and run, but you just go slower and slower, and what ever it is rushing up behind you gets closer and closer...
Whatever it was growing closer with every battered stride she took. The ever-rising tumult was right on her heels when, without any warning, she clawed her way through a heaving screen of sticker vines, stumbled over a noose of thick brown roots, and lurched wildly into a broad barren trail.
The ruckus at his rear abruptly soared to a crescendo as she scrabbled to turn to face whatever was chasing her, Lisa-Marie gazed at the impenetrable screen of sticker vines, she leaned forward, squinting at the shadow as if to force them to give up their secrets, she heard definitely un-human like sound: Shed heard it before, and thought it had sounded vaguely familiar.
As the sounds grew closer and louder and clearer, Lisa-Marie began to see something moving in the dim green shadows deeper in the jungle. Something big. Lots of big somethings. Whipping through the trees as fast as squirrels - and now all the birds had gone stone silent.
Lisa-Marie had no idea what was coming toward her from the jungle. It made her decision fairly easy.
She turned and ran as fast as she could to the other side of the trail, for Lisa-Marie, the next several moments were a whirling, chaotic jumble. She was at the absolute dregs of her strength, yet somehow she found a way to push herself further. Gasping, her chest heaving, she staggered on through the underbrush, too exhausted even to shield her face any longer, simply absorbing the flaying punishment from every passing branch and thorn.
The forest here was not quite as dense as the one shed passed through earlier. And now, behind her, the sounds were getting louder but still she could see nothing not even the frightening black shadows ghosting through the thick canopy overhead that had scared her so much before.
