Chapter 16: Kate Queen of the night

"Help, oh help me please!" Screamed Amanda as she hurtled into the lab at a tremendous pace.

Even the cool, collected Jenna jumped.

"What on earth's wrong Mandy?" Jenna asked.

"Its TOM! He saw me with Kate, I think he's had a heart attack - hurry" just a quickly Amanda had vanished.

" But where?" screamed Jenna after her.

With an agile leap she cleared the desk in front of her grabbed all the first aid stuff she could find in her arms, and dashed to the door, swiveling her head first right then left Jenna scanned for Amanda, sure enough she just saw the shape of Amanda's shapely naked ass scoot around a corner to her left.

"Babe, I'd follow those bun's anywhere," Jenna thought as she raced down the corridor.

Once Jenna reached Tom's body it was very obvious to Jenna this was no heart attack, the first aid kit may have well stayed in the other lab. She broke the news as gently as she could.

"Look the compound or something related to it got into his blood stream in massive amounts, and his organs shut down at once, just like Taylor, he's gone Mandy."

"He wasn't perfect, but I loved him" sniveled Amanda into a bloodstained hanky.

"You mean he wasn't female," Kate added.

"Shut up, Kate" Jenna hissed.

"No, no she's right, being female would have made him perfect!" Amanda stated.

Then dropping the hanky gently Amanda walked over to Kate, bent her head slightly and sucked one of her plump nipples in to her mouth, her hand slipped down to her own crotch and playfully stroked her dampening lips. Jenna suddenly realized just how far gone Mandy was, no way could she trust her any more! This hurt, she had really hoped there was a future for them together after this, and that had just been wrenched from her. Deflated and depressed Jenna made her way back to the main lab.

Jenna sat at her desk, head in hands, grief-stricken. She didn't even bother to look up when the lab door swung and somebody padded into the room.

"Terrible thing love, but there are cures" Kate's soft voice whispered conspiratorially in to her ear.

"Oh, get lost will you" Jenna croaked through her tears, "What would you know, Kate, really? What would you know you're not even human any more!" as Jenna spat out the words she spun the monitor into Kate's field of vision.

"Ah, we have been busy, I wondered where 'the compound or something related to it' came from now I know. It's good to be satisfied"

"You can't even talk like Kate any more!" Jenna ranted.

Kate walked up to the seated scientist, and stared directly into Jenna's eyes.
