I remember the nights, waiting by the phone,
Hoping you’d call, but I felt so alone.
You had your dreams, while I lost my way,
Scribbling my heart in the dust and the gray.
I sat in the room of white waiting for the day.
You said I was too much, you said I was too weak,
But every tear I cried, was just a chance to speak.
Now I see the truth, the light in my eyes,
You were the storm, but I learned to rise.
You missed your chance to watch me bloom,
While I fought through the shadows, breaking the gloom.
I only wanted your love, a place I could stay,
But now I’m grateful for the strength you pushed away.
I remember the laughter, the games I would play,
But your cold, distant heart just locked me away.
You never saw me, not the girl I could be,
Now I’m moving forward, I’m finally free.
You left me with echoes, of what I should fear,
But now I stand tall, with the truth loud and clear.
You’re everything I don’t want, a mirror of shame,
While I’m finding my light, and reclaiming my name.
