Foreword
Some credit should probably be acknowledged for this story, belated as it may be. First off, a tip of the hat to Jewel Kilcher for helping me name the story. No, her 'Life Uncommon' wasn't that good (for that matter, most of her sophomore album wasn't that good), but I liked the title.
Next in line would be the producers and writers of a short-lived teen series called 'Opposite Sex' (Fox ran six episodes of it in the summer of '00), for making me think, 'Hey, I could do a better job writing in this setting than those guys can.' Couldn't have done it without you guys. Thanks.
Finally, thank you, Kevin Williamson, for reminding us that teenagers can use too many big words and overthink things too, just like the rest of us.
